Attacks: Iraq aimed in a complaint deposited by an American
WASHINGTON, 4 déc (AFP) - an American citizen, whose wife was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, carried felt sorry for Tuesday in front of federal justice against the islamist Oussama Ben Laden, network Al-Qaïda, the talibans, as well as Iraq, indicated his lawyer, association Judicial Watch.
The complaint, which aims at obtaining tens of million dollars of damage and repairs, was deposited under seal Tuesday afternoon in front of the federal court of the District of Columbia, one specified of the same source.
It is the first time that such a complaint explicitly names Iraq, which is shown of conspiracy and to have given a material support for the terrorists having perpetrated the attacks, indicated to the AFP the director and lawyer of Judicial Watch, Larry Klayman.
The identity of the plaintiff, who is done called John Doe, was not revealed "for reasons of safety", indicated Mr. Klayman. Judicial Watch is specialized in the businesses of governmental corruption.
According to the complaint, the victim, was 47 years old and is reported missing and supposed died in the attacks against the twin towers of World Trade Center in New York on September 11.
The plaintiff shows the islamist Oussama Ben Laden, his network Al-Qaïda, as well as the Afghan mode, the talibans and to have died Iraq responsible for for his wife.
According to one of the seven bills of indictment, the talibans, the Afghan government and Iraq gave "a material support and in resources" for Ben Laden and his network Al-Qaïda, shown to have perpetrated the attacks of September 11.
"the evidence is overpowering showing that Iraq was implied in the attacks of September 11 which killed the wife of our customer", Mr. Klayman indicated, according to an official statement.
The complaint quotes explicitly, in addition to the "material support" of Baghdad, the training of Al-Qaïda members in camps in Iraq as well as meetings between hijackers and agents Iraqi in Europe.
According to Czech authorities', the Egyptian Mohammed Atta, identified by the FBI (American safety) like one of the kamikazes having taken part in the attacks, would have met last April an Iraqi agent in Prague.
I love ready resources like this, very much appreciate the work they put in to flesh out their complaints and think -- all in all -- we're going to end up thanking Judicial Watch for memorializing and ferreting out the truth while we were too busy rubbing the tummy of the dog with the waggedy tail.
And, as for his complaint against Iraq, at least he's a money-grubbing wacko and won't have to kiss-kiss like Uncle Sam when, from Russia with love, comes The Message that neither Iran nor Iraq (well maybe Iraq ... well, no, not Iraq) could possibly have anything to do with the most spectacular act of terrorism on the planet ... pulled off by Osama and the third worlders we're stomping in Afghanistan.
If, for no other reason, he laid his groundword during the Clinton Administration (when he was a hero to many around here), they can't really touch him. I like that too.
Bottom line: Call me crazy, but I'm still cheering anyone who's got the strong arm to maybe make some truth stick (or stink) up high enough for everyone to see it.
At least he's consistent. No one laughed at him when he took on "The Evil One" or his omnipotent wife. Why the hell can't he take on Saddam (who's indebted to the Bush Administration) and Osama (who -- despite his CIA connects -- everyone would have you believe was enabled by the Clinton Adminsitration).
He's actually moving down a tier or two, target-wise.
While brave men are risking their lives to kill bin Laden and his gang, I'm not amused by Larry's perpetual look-at-me.
I guess one reason I don't see only the "look at me" side is because I've used the JW site so often for digging through depositions, documents and other ready references -- like his list of potential fronts for terrorist assets here at home.
I can understand how you and everyone else on this thread feels, though. I mean, what are the chances Lawsuit Larry would end up with his own personal suit against United Airlines? Maybe he wrongly founded his organization on filing fast and furious and using the courts as a common man's stab at obtaining truth and -- in some cases -- justice or reparations for clear wrongs. It doesn't so surprise me, I guess, that he's not run out of targets for continued filings.
I just have to go with my gut instincts, that's all, as long as he's still turning sufficient substance to feed 'em.
(And no ... I'm not one to judge on how well he fares in the courts but rather what he manages to get in the way of sworn testimony and documents. Given Bush's new protections of the Executive Branch, it's possible we'll never again have the opportunity Klayman did to shine a light on the FBI Files, Travelgate and other "executive" decisions.)
True, but don't you think Larry might also have risked his life "just a little" when he investigated and OPENLY accused the Clinton's and DNC of MURDER (the death of Ron Brown), TREASON (Chinagate), blackmail and privacy violations (Filegate), and election tampering (the Riady Non-Refund)? That happened at a time when the GOP was, for the most part, completely AWOL. Afterall, we are talking about the "Clinton's" and few were a bigger thorn in the Clinton's side than Klayman and Judicial Watch. He certainly was a bigger thorn than Johnny Chung and the FBI stopped an attempt on Chung's life. He was as big a thorn as Senator Inhofe and the propellor came off his private plane while he was flying it to a meeting requested by Clinton. And look at all the other suspicious deaths surrounding the Clinton's.
Or do you, like Howlin, subscribe to the view that NONE of his lawsuits in those matters had any basis in fact, that there was no purpose beyond "winning" those lawsuits, or that Klayman was a Clinton operative from day one?
In the words of Kingsley Amis, "more will mean worse."
Which is to say, had he filed a modest number of winnable suits, he'd not have become such a bad joke.
Being unable to speak for Howlin, I'm pingin' her.
And likely proved himself a savvy businessman and Moneymaker who'd have moved on to more lucrative means of tooting his own horn.
He has yet to prove himself capable of representing an individual or class to fit the plaintiff's attorney model. If there are those who wish to fund his quixotic attack of the government from all possible angles, so be it. He'll take all the grief personally on the chin of his way-too-prominent mug and we'll all benefit in the spoils of sworn testimony, documents and ready reference "trial prep" sorts of work product he puts out.
-- Ruddigore.
The wind-mills are trembling with fear.
To dream ... the impossible dream ...
To fight ... the unbeatable foe ...
To bear ... with unbearable sorrow ...
To run ... where the brave dare not go ...
To right ... the unrightable wrong ...
To love ... pure and chaste from afar ...
To try ... when your arms are too weary ...
To reach ... the unreachable star ...
This is my quest, to follow that star ...
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far ...
To fight for the right, without question or pause ...
To be willing to march into Hell, for a Heavenly cause ...
And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest,
That my heart will lie will lie peaceful and calm,
when I'm laid to my rest ...
And the world will be better for this:
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach ... the unreachable star ...
I've made an ass of myself so many times...
Priceless! That should be the title of his autobiography.
