OK, ping list, I really need your help and I really need some patriotic FReepers who care about our troops to send me a FReepmail message to go to our troops.

This has the explanation of why the troops want the silk scarves to help reduce chaffing when they carry the 100 lbs. LBE's.

HELP! I need EMails and FReepmails for our Troops!!
To: patriciaruth
OK now, what is it you need? What would you like us to do? Do you want letters to be enclosed with the gifts?
To: patriciaruth
Are you sure the troops are accepting gifts and mail? I thought mail service to the troops had been stopped because of the Antrax scare.

Why FReepmail? You're going to have to cut and paste from somewhere? Maybe if the messages are posted her it'll inspire others to surpass my feeble (but heart-felt) effort. Dear Soldier,
Hello! Hope you are doing well. I am just one of millions of Americans who greatly appreciate your service to our country and in the war against terrorism. Thank you for all you do. I owe you several beers I'm sure.
There is not a block on any street that is not peppered with American flags - on mailboxes, hanging form the garage, new flagpoles, etc. We are behind you - that will not change.
I believe President Bush when he tells us that you will have all the tools you need to do your job quickly and effectively.
I'm certain your family is very proud of you - I am too. Come home as soon as you can.
May G-d keep you safe,
Charlie & Family

BUMP!!! And I'll be sending a check for a lovely scarf for our lovely lads in uniform...
To: patriciaruth
Did you receive the two cards I sent to go with the scarves? BTW, I am assuming that 'Lorraine' up there in that list is me? PayPal has my formal, legal name, but the last person who referred to me as 'Lorraine' was my third grade teacher, I think. LOL!
Thank you again for all that you do for our servicemen and women.

I would just like to say that this is one of the most patriotic things that I have seen an American do. Thank God that you are a citizen of our fine nation. God Bless You and the United States of America. We need more Americans like you.

Dear GI, Thank you so much for defending your country. It makes all of us at home sleep better knowing that you are there to protect us. I know that especially during the holidays it is difficult for you to be away from your loved ones. My prayers and best wishes are with you and the other brave Americans that serve with you. God bless you and keep you. Sincerely, Sheila Maryland

Dear GI, My heart swells with pride at the job you are doing and the sacrifices that you make on a daily basis. We, here at home, feel secure in the knowledge that you are protecting our wonderful nation. Flags are flying everywhere - even in places you wouldn't imagine - and patriotism is running strong. Thank you for all that you do. My best to you and your fellow GI's for a safe and healthy Christmas. God bless you all. Jackie - California
