Homeland Hearth
Merry Christmas 'round this spinning world;
You Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines.
In this great battle into which you're hurled,
Know now you're spoken in our prayers and dreams. The Universe is vast and often dark,
The galaxies are scattered through the cold,
Yet in this Milky Way we see the Spark,
On Earth we witness History unfold.Sometimes we wake up and the world is changed,
And we perceive a glimmer of His plan.
Our eyes unchained, we glimpse the pre-arranged,
And we accept the cause of mortal man.You fight that Freedom's Fire will ever burn.
Your cause is ours; our debt is yours. Return.
You are so very dear......esp. You 4TF. (:
It's time to say "Nighty Night"...
Ya'll sleep good and tight!
BURMA SHAVE
Tonk, she does deserve it!
We should always remember to watch over, meet the needs of and pray for the chidren and wives/husbands of our military personnel when they are deployed overseas in harms way particularly during the Holidays.
Our fighting men and women need to know we at home will take care of their families especially if they should fall or be injured in combat.
GREAT FREEP, Flag, and all your wonderful helpers!!
And we have pledges to cover 3/4th of the cost of the scarves!! Better than I expected!!
All the messages sent by tonight will go with the scarves, so the guys pulling duty on Christmas out in the field (who are the ones who will be getting these scarves) will have something to read to cheer them.
IF anyone still wants to send a card or letter, I am going to be sending a care package to the 101st Airborne at Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo next week. If you FReepmail me, I'll send you my address, and I'll put your card/letter in that package for the Chaplain to distribute.
Only the card/letter will be sent, not the envelop for security reasons, so be sure to put your name and return address on the card/letter.
Now I have a lot more printing to do....
:-D
