Before Harry was born, a wizard “…went… bad. About as bad as you can go. Worse. Worse than worse.” He terrorized the wizard-ing world with a deadly curse.
Harry became famous as the boy who lived when he survived that deadly curse. Voldemort murdered Harry’s dad, then threw the curse at Harry, but Harry’s mom took the curse on herself to save him. Voldermort hit Harry with a curse again. That’s how he got his lightningbolt scar. But the curse was broken. Hagrid calls this “a great myst’ry”.
Lily Potter loved her sone so much that she gave her life. She jumped in front of the curse to save him. At the end of the story, the evil one couldn’t even touch harry! As Dumbledore said, “to have been loved so deaply”, gave Harry protection forever.
What a great story! It’s set in a fantasy world. There’s another great story. It REALLY HAPPENED in our world……

He tricked people into disobeying God and hit ‘em with a deadly curse. People lived in fear of death until the curse was broken.
Jesus broke the curse. He took it on himself when he died on the cross. When Jesus came back alive that proved the curse was broken.
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him will not die but have eternal life. (John 3;16). Believe in Jesus. He is the real elixer of life.
Then you can be the boy (or Girl) who lived.
Jesus came to distroy the works of the devil (that angel that went bad). He prayed he would “be protected from the evil one.” In our world, all witchcraft is like the Dark arts at Hogworts. So don’t dabble! Practice Defense against the dark arts. Get all your supernatural powers from God.
LMAO! I've heard that some are thinking we must all wear the mark of the lightning bolt as a symbol of our eternal damnation. ;-)
Nothing in this post suggested the author was in any threatened by H.P. He just had another, better story to tell. It had something in common with H.P. so he used H.P as a lead in. Also, everyone knows that articles with Harry Potter in the title get replies, even if they're not about Harry Potter.
Feel free to quote anything in the article negative about H.P., in case I missed it.

Heh. Anyway I feel jealous of about half the people on this thread. I don't get to see the movie until sometime next week!
Frank Herbert wrote Dune as a Christ story, ala his thinking. The fact that the parallel shows so strongly in Harry Potter speaks to the power of the universality of the message.
That being said, it doesn't mean I endorse 'one size fits all' religion. Too bland and colorless to enjoy.
Sometimes I think of Harry Potter and the revival of 'witches' in our feminized and atheistic world as a secular search for an appropriate mythology left by the absence of humanity in the secular world and in it's renouncement of Christianity. It is remarkably akin to the religion the Romans gave up for Christianity. Science has not banished mystery, nor substituted it's contribution to our existence.
I am not going to see the movie, nor am I going to read the books.
The more I hear from the anti-Potter brigade, the more I am convinced that the publisher's marketing department came up with the "Harry Potter is demonic" mantra. It sure gets more attention than it deserves...which suggests that someone has a pecuniary interest in generating this attention.

It is a question of separation from the things of the world, flesh and Devil and a individual CHOICE. - what will YOU sacrifice for Christ? Christ died for you that you may grow in God and become more Christlike as you surrender YOUR will and way and desires and pleasures and cleave unto His ways - Many will be astonished when they face God and he says, Depart, I do not know you. No, because they resisted every attempt of the Holy Spirit to come out from among the heathen and have a marriage union of their souls with the Heart of God. Do not tell me God is pleased with Harry Potter because God abhors witchcraft, in the Word it is very clear. Saying its just fiction, etc is just a cop-out for believers to go along with the flow. If you are a believer in God then you must also believe in the Devil and his minion hordes, demonic fallen ANGELS - I do not desire to allow the demon spirits that accompany this and many other movies into MY home. You choose this day WHOM YOU will serve, as for my house WE will serve the Lord.
My family will NOT be wasting our money on that movie and this is one Episcopalian still supporting the DISNEY BOYCOTT, because of their agressive promotion of the homosexual agenda!!
You like Harry Potter, fine, no one can say for sure that it is evil. The question is, what if it is? I believe the Bible completely and fully. Me and mine shall not be tempted or deceived.
and I will say I TOLD YOU SO! It going to get worse wait and see.
