Planes just don't fall from the sky...unless, of course, your name is FBI Agent Jim Kalstrom , CNN , Ari Fleisher, Fox News Network , PSNBC , ABC, CBS, NBC , and the plane was flying over New York City.

And what exactly do you think happens when a turbine engine at full throttle loses a blade? Sure, it's possible that this was a terrorist act, but until more facts come out, don't you think you're being somewhat presumptuous?

Within one hour after flight 587 went down, CNN had an 'expert' on who warned against listening to what eye witnesses were saying.
I'm here to tell you, THERE IS NO MORE ACCURATE FORM OF INFORMATION THAN AN EYE WITNESS.

Quite wrong. Witnesses to a crime or disaster will give wildly differing -- often contradictory -- accounts.
By the way, it very well MAY HAVE been a bomb; or not. I'm waiting to see some evidence.
1. Eyewitnesses reported the wing exploding where it joins the fuselage.
2. NTSB reports no unusual conversation between cockpit and tower.
3. Another airliner in the vacinity reported hearing the pilot on 587 talking about engine trouble.
4.The flight path for that flight is said to be 98% over water.
There are many conflicting reports being spewed right now, and it's a little too early to speculate, but I personally think that it's possible that a bomb could have been placed on the plane by ground crew, and am not ruling out terrorism.

Maybe it was just an accident? Those DO still happen, you know. It would not be the first time an engine decided to go fly by itself. Very rare, but not unheard of. Of course, an explosive would do the job too. I'm not making any conclusions until more facts are available for review.

To believe anything else is to have attained full SHEEPLE status...
J.T., why don't we wait for the signal-to-noise ratio to improve before jumping to conclusions? At least with TWA 800, there is clear, compelling evidence that a missile might have taken down the plane. So far, there is nothing inconsistent with mechanical failure - if evidence to the contrary comes up, we'll deal with it then...
