That is a Myth. Pain control is available and it is rare for a dieing patient to be screaming. Especially a patient that has been there awhile! I have known a few who have died of cancer, none died screaming. I have heard of families coercing a person to take the assisted suicide route. Then shopping doctors to find one to participant.

You'll excuse me if I say don't believe that you are an authority on this subject. Some cancer is more painful than other - for example - liver or pancreatic cancer. Different people have different levels of tolerance for pain.

You may not be aware that the FDA is cutting way back on the allowable pain perscriptions that Dr.s can use, such that terminal patients will not be able to get sufficient meds to die without pain.
I am on the side of juliabrock.
I think drugs should be legaized and the FDA sent to China, but that's another topic.
