(Photo: AP) LONDON - The Arab world must be prepared to offer a collective guarantee of Israel's security and integration into the Middle East in return for the setting up of a Palestinian state, King Abdullah of Jordan said in an interview published Saturday in London.

The Jordanian monarch, in winding up a visit to Britain on Friday, told The Times newspaper that the guarantees would involve countries stretching from the Gulf to Morocco. The newspaper described the remarks as "exploratory" but also an indication of the trend of moderate Arab thinking.

Abdullah said he could foresee that "the Arab countries will make a statement guaranteeing the security of Israel" in what he called a "two-basket approach" agreed by the main parties, including the United States, Russia, the European Union, the United Nations, Egypt and Jordan. This would mark an unprecedented public acceptance by all Arab states not only of Israel's existence but of its full integration within the Middle East, the paper said.

The Times said Abdullah had canvassed the idea in the Gulf states, Saudi Arabia and several North African states. But Syria, Iraq and Libya remained the biggest obstacles. Abdullah told the Times that British Prime Minister Tony Blair agreed with him on all the details.

"I was joking with the prime minister that our tete-a-tetes are getting shorter and shorter because we agree on everything," he said.

On Iraq, he said although there were voices in the United States that wanted to broaden the war and attack Baghdad, "the president and the State Department and others are very clear on the dangers of bringing Iraq into the equation at this stage."

Ya know, if the Arabs could guarantee anything (e.g. inside plumbing, cohesian, women's rights, etc.) I go along with the king.

King Abdullah has good intentions, unfortunately his fellow Arab nations would never support or stand for this. King Abdullah is certainly an ally and a cool-head in the Arab World. It is a shame that more of the Arab monarchs cannot be like him, but follow the model of the Saud Family or the Assad Family.

But Syria, Iraq and Libya remained the biggest obstacles.

I guarantee you that if Sadam Hussein and his thugs were out of the picture some kind of palatable accommodation would be possible between the Arabs and the Jews. As long as Hussein is alive, Syria and Libya will be more afraid of his psychotic behavior than any danger the presence of a Jewish state might present.

Hussein has got to go. I hope that the reason the coalition is dragging its feet in Afghanistan is to buy the time necessary to assemble the forces and logistics required to obliterate Sadam Hussein once and for all.

I will be very surprised if this is not precisely what is going on right now.

Even Leah Rabin came to the folly of her husband's naivete. He should not have been killed of course but he was hopelessly naive about Arafat.

Talk is cheap. Let's see of the Arabs really step up to the plate.

Abby's selling, but I'm not buying!

Psalm 55
19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.

20 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant. 21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. 23 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

There is no 'peace pact of 7 years'. That's a gross abuse of one verse, Daniel 9:27. The interpretation was made up out of thin air. The book of Daniel was made 'scholar-proof', so no wonder the experts can't calculate for the life of them. Oh well.

Take a look for yourself at Daniel 9. Use a KJV. Compare Nehemiah 1. They are very similar. Now what does Dan 9:23 say? Gabriel tells Daniel about God's timetable:

Daniel 9:23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

Then he goes on to give Daniel more detail. Now look what verse 25 says:

Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

The commandment of God went forth as soon as his humble servant Daniel started to pray. There's the key. Nehemiah 1 provides the answer. The date Nehemiah 1 began to pray [in regards to Jerusalem] was in the month of Kislev. Luke 4... after Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness he ends up in the synagogue in Nazaraeth. He reads the haftarah for the 34th Sabbath in year 3 of the triennial reading cycle (which begins in the month of Nisan, spring). That reading corresponds to the end of Cheshvan/beginning of Kislev. Jesus showed up right on time, Rosh Chodesh Kislev. "He hath annointed me" "He hath sent me". The 70th week is all about Christ. While many believed, halfway through these last 7 years he was crucified.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate [cf. Lev 26], even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The clocked stopped on Passover, due to unbelief. Why won't it start ticking again where it left off? Only this time, it will be the apostate Church who 'crucifies' Christ. Look around at all of the merchandizing done "in Jesus' name".

And they knew not until the flood came...

Arab Leader [King Abdullah] Asks American Christians to Press for Peace in Middle East

Abdullah is alright. And quite the minority in the Arab world with facing reality and realizing Arabs are not blameless and have to recognize their own faults and stand up to the extremists that threaten the entire region and world. He's also right on with standing against terrorism. He's becoming a great example of not being a coward to the terrorists in the region that demand warmongering and unrest. Denial with certain Arab leaders will not stop the seriousness of the situation of today's world.
