Gilmore needs to go. Period.

The RINO's in the VA Senate are the ones who caused this mess, giving slick warner the opening.

I think the VA constitution has taken care of that my friend.

Take a good look around folks and you'll see why I hold out little hope for the long-term survival of our nation. Anyone with a brain can see that Democratic policies got us to the point we're at now. People in large numbers support a Republican president and make it clear that they would rather have him in charge instead of Clinton or Gore. So what do we see? Already tonight two states have elected Democrat governors.

I sadly believe that the fall of our nation is a foregone conclusion.

I am going to admit that I didnt quite understand why prominent republicans werent more involved in promoting Earley.

A little here...a little there and we would've pulled this out.

I wouldnt mind knowing the mental process behind W. not at least doing a thirty second spot for him.

???

Oh well.

Honestly......the threat was McEachin(sp?) that cat is a bonafide Clintonista. He really would've screwed the pooch. The anti-gun lobby would've had all kinds of ammo after about one year of this idiot not enforcing the law.

Small to medium victory.

Well, Gilmore and company offered to help Earley with his campaign, but Earley declined their help. Bad move on his part.

It's kind of a vicious cycle. Democrats get elected, make a mess and then people elect Republicans to clean up the mess. They do, and then a Democrat ousts them and it starts all over again.

The biggest problem with this Warner character is that he is a corporatist - historically a problem that cost this nation $350,000,000,000 in an earlier time as well as hundreds of thousands of lives.

I love how everyone assumes Bush will expose himself in public to the nut jobs that are out there in the country, who would love to take a shot at him.

In addition, what makes you think bush is the guy that would matter. Either the state likes the candidate or they don't. You would also have to have proof through polling that public appearances by Bush would make a difference. Do you know that? I am sure the Earley campaign did/does. What have they said about Bush's absence on the stump? Are they complaining? Could it be that Earley ran a bad campaign...had ideas that didn't sell?

Already tonight two states have elected Democrat governors.

Please can the doom and gloom. NJ was no surprise. Bush lsot by 15 points there last year and they elected Hillary clone Corzine.

In VA, Warner bought the election and basically ran as a conservative. He will have a GOP house to deal with. The RINO VA Senate was the problem here since they were the ones who caused the budget impasse.

The next four years are not going to be a cakewalk for slick warner.

Ditto - this election makes no sense to me - but then '92 did not either, and '96 was even worse. I'm totally out of tune with most Americans. I was raised and educated in Virginia too! (Of course - I was heavily "liberalized" by my educational institutions - so that's a major minus for VA too).

Please stop trying to reason. It is far better for the Bush bashers to point an accusative finger than to confuse them with facts.

It's too bad about Warner. I grew up in VA and will always consider it my true home. I heard that John McLame supported this RAT for governor... I wish Bush would have made just one support statement for Early. I know he's got a lot going on, but he should have shown some kind of support. I saw Dick Morris on Hannity and Colmes saying that Bush needs to stay out of the business of endorsing candidate for other races...that he should stay a "bipartisan" President! Oh please Dick...and when did Clintoon ever keep his mouth shut when it came to expressing his opinion about who he supported?
