Dangerous Times in NYC - A Personal Experience
Vanity
Posted on 11/06/2001 10:29:07 AM PST by Fujiwara
So I'm going home last night on the NYC subway (#1 Train Uptown Broadway Local) when a large (280-300 lbs)agitated, African American man boards the train. The man is wearing a Palestianian head-dress (picture Arafat's typical head piece).
He begins loudly talking to himself aboout how he is going "to have to kill some one". Frightened passengers begin to move away - suddenly he launches an unprovoked barrage of punches against a seated passenger.
Several other passengers momentarily subdue the bad guy - train pulls into the station - bad guy attempts to non-chalantly leave the the train and the station.
So I follow him while talking to 911 on my cell phone. Police arrive quickly, bad guy resists, ends up with a face full of pepper spray - but is subdued quickly and efficiently by NY's Finest.
So the police begin to empty this guys pockets on the street. They find: a copy of the Koran, a book called "Wives of the Prophet", prayer beads, etc. Then they check his waistband where they find A LOADED 9 MILLIMETER HANDGUN, with one in the pipe, gun has no safety.
Later I learn the guy has adopted a musilim AKA, was talking repeatedly about going to Afghanistan to kill people, better yet - he is a convicted murderer so he can be taken at his word.
So what's the point? Do I think this guy is a member of al queda ? No, not even they would want an idiot like this. Do I think he went out last night looking to kill someone for no reason other than craziness and religious zealotry? YES, I do - I saw that in his eyes and his behaviour.
Worse still, I think there are many, many more like him. If I had any doubts that the enemy is among us those doubts are now long gone. Yours should be too.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to use a can of that ether starting aid... the stuff used to help start a cold diesel engine?!?!? Imagine holding a lighter in front of that bad boy ...
In the old days of butane propellant, Right Guard was good for a shock in a college dorm late at night.

Trak Auto sells "blast spray" carburetor cleaner. Imagine holding a lighter up to that stuff!

Use of a wasp defrazmylizer as an anti-cretin device takes either an evil mind, a high degree of desperation, or both. Maybe a little bit of both. Here's two bizarre twists for you:
1. My first day in New York City without my parents was December 22, 1984 (New York Freepers should know that date very well).
2. While riding an NJ TRANSIT train home one day a few years ago, I remarked to a friend of mine how disturbed I was that in the event a guy with a gun went on a shooting rampage on the train, there would be no way to stop him until the police were called to the next station. Less than a week later, Colin Ferguson shot all those people on the Long Island Rail Road train.
Pretty creepy, huh?

Brake cleaner is the most flammable liquid I've ever seen. I know someone who melted holes in the side of his old wood-burning stove when he used it to help start a fire inside.

My brother woke me up once, when we were kids, by igniting some spewing Lysol (pressurized room deodorant in an aerolsol can) over my bed. And it smelled pretty bad too.
It's a wonder any of us survived childhood.

I don't know about December 22, 1984, but my father dated Sharon Tate's cousin (who was really close to her cousin) when I was in college, and we were all invited to visit her in Hollywood. My father had to call it off for a business trip. And yes, that would have been the night Sharon Tate and others were murdered by the Manson gang.

What a scary situation! Another reason for concealed carry although I know that is not allowed in New York.

That is what I was thinking. Do you think it will go back like it used to be there if the DemoRat is elected? What a scary story this is. How can one feel safe anywhere with these religious nuts all over the nation?

My thoughts exactly. Planes, subways, busses. No matter when..no matter where the fanatical murderous Islamic Jihad'ers may strike, we are ready to kick some ass.

"Do I think this guy is a member of al queda ? No, not even they would want an idiot like this."Don't bank on that.
Watched any film out of Pakistan or Afganistan lately?
Next time you do watch, try to look into one of the mob's eyes.
They'd take this one, alright.
...& with open arms.

Wow..another example of the WOT meets the WOD. That's two in two days. Is this a trend?
