Just reported on the 10 PM WBZ radio news broadcast:
FBI is seeking a rental type Ryder Van that was stopped trying to enter the parking garage at the Cambridge Mass Galleria mall at about 7 PM. When the back doors of the van were opened by security personnel, there were 6, 55 gallon drums duct taped to the vans walls along with gas type cans also taped to the walls.
The van then sped off. The FBI is asking for anyone seeing the van with possible license plate of 4789H7 to contact Police or the FBI.

Lately I have started to think that even tho these guys are killing thousands and terrifying everyone that their real agenda is economic war on us. Killing of people is part of it but they have no respect for anyones life. But if our mail grinds to a halt, our stock market limps, we don't go about our lives, we quit flying, quit buying, lose confidence we will be weakened as a society more than a weakening from murdering us. Murder will build resolve in us, economic ruin will literally ruin us quicker. It would be less likely to make us resolved.

Interesting question. I'm not sure what the policy of the Navy was during WWII. I could be wrong, and if anyone knows for sure please correct me, but I think that as long as the war was on, and as long as you were not seriously injured, you were required to get back on the horse, so to speak. If you were on a surface ship that got sunk and were rescued, you got assigned to another surface ship. Same thing with subs, but there were not nearly as many survivors of subs that sank. If anyone knows for sure, feel free to correct me.

their real agenda Yes, I agree. Many nations condemn us for one reason or another, but jealousy can come in many colors.

When I was in if you were on a ship that was sunk and you survived you were guaranteed shore duty after that; if you wanted it. I think it was the same way in WWII.

If I had of gone the military route instead of the civvie route for my ratings, that's the beast I'd wanted to drive...
I had a pair of decals for an A-10 model once that was modeled after a gulf war bird, and the nose art said "Kuwaiti Highway Patrol" on it...
