Deer zcat, I am praying in the Spirit as I read and type ... mercy, this is bad news, but I pray that God, by His Holy Spirit, will guide eveyrone helping your brother, and turn this diagnosis around. I pray for a miracle of God's healing to touch him, and reverse the expected course of events.

Dear Lord, You who hold our lives, our breath, and at times, our broken bodies in Your hands, I ask You to minister to Scott and everyone who helps him or loves him. Preserve his life intact. Minister to his spirit right now, in Jesus' Name. Speak Your peace to him. Breathe Your blessing on him.

So sorry, zcat. I have a lot of relatives there, but no way to contact any (my cousin with whom I am closest just moved to Utah). I did go to the palmsprings.com site and get these, though. All of my family has been active at teh Catholic Churches, so that is my only old familiarity.

My sincere prayers for your entire family -- How hard to be adrift on vacation with tragedy to cope with ... perhaps one of these will help your step-dad, sister deal with their terror.
