Then who would protect women from the dykes?

Men have become nearly extent for some time. they are goofs who fertilize demanding brats, but as far as being anything respectable, most of them aren't.

They've been saying this since the feminist movement took root. I ain't ever gonna happen. Just another pipe dream on the part of those who hate the natural order of the Creator. Women and children are always going to be at risk in the world, and they will always need male protectors.

He says: "With the advent of sperm banks, in-vitro fertilisation, sex sorting techniques, human cloning and same-sex marriages, it is reasonable to wonder about the future role of men in society." Sperm banks and IVF still require input from men, and cloning is still a long way from being a reliable form of reproduction. But on the issue of men hastening their own demise, it's hard to disagree with this article.

Been hearing these predictions for ages. I remember, twenty years ago, reading a book called "The Coming Matriarchy." The two (female) authors posited that women would take over all male authority by the turn of the century because women work better with others.
Maybe they meant the turn of the NEXT century?
Btw, love that name: Doc Siegfried.

No way. As someone (a woman) said on a previous thread, most women will always prefer to get their sperm the old fashioned way :)

Professor Seigfried Meryn says men already have higher rates for all major causes of death, shorter life expectancy and women can now do their jobs just as well.Hmmmm, if men have higher rates of death for all major causes, that must mean that women are now becoming immortal. Hadn't heard that one before.
Life expectancy varies across cultures. In some places, men outlive women. In some places, men outnumber women. This fellow is looking at his own dysfunctional society and extrapolating in a most un-scientific fashion.
As for women doing men's jobs better than men, well, I will agree that a woman could probably do Doctor Siegfried's job better.

Why is it you never see articles about women becoming extinct because you can harvest eggs and clone them? If we have sperm banks, we can also have egg banks. Men are no less essential to the reproductive cycle than women, if I remember the mechanics of that function correctly.
Methinks that, like Mark Twain, the rumors of our demise are greatly exaggerated.

Somehow I just can't get worked up about this--I guess, because--well--there's something that women like a lot that only men can do for them... I just don't see women wanting to be without 'em.

"...men...have higher rates for all major causes of death, shorter life expectancy... There is a sustained increase in psychological disorders in men, including alcohol and substance abuse, mid-life crisis, depression and domestic violence..."Men have a higher suicide rate. More men are imprisoned. Almost every disease has a male predilection.
These are all signs of oppression. These same indicators are found in all oppressed minorities.
These are signs of oppression of the male minority by the female majority.

Scare me....
This world is not mine, anyway. I will give it to the lowest bidder.

Women would be OK without men? Women would have breasts sagging to their waists if a MAN had not invented the bra!

Uh....I don't believe that China has received this news yet.

I can see them arguing about who's going to pump out the port-o-johns.
