All clues point to Florida

I've been collating a lot of information over the last few weeks and have a suspicion about a highly probable next major attack. First off, attacking bridges just aint their style. not enough financial impact in that. At least not at the Stock market level. Now if you want to know what they like, they like to short stock and destroy S&P businesses. We still don't have an answer to stock manipulation on the short side. It's not really that manageable. Too many outlets to cash out.

The Al Queda are sophisticated in their theory of how to destroy America and it involves destroying America's economic base. They like to watch the stock market lose value, one sector at a time. My guess as the likely target factoring everything I have read and heard is this:

Involving Southern Florida --> check

Involving multiple aircraft (one is bound to get through air defense) --> check

Involving aricraft bought in the bahamas (not traceable like US sales and there have been missing aircraft) --> check

Involving tanker truck or hazmat --> check

Involving spent plutonium --> check

Involving a heavily traded S&P stock -->check

Involving Bert and Ernie connection --> check (yes it isn't a direct connection but if it was, we would be on defcon 5 for the area I am thinking of). Think kids check

I hope our government is patrolling the atlantic skies off southern florida in a huge way. I also hope they are protecting Disneyworld. I could see 3 or 4 small planes and a couple of trucks causing a pretty big ash cloud with plutonium mixed it. Imagine the psychological damage caused by making Disneyworld uninhabitable for about 10 years.

Not the mention the sackful of short money they would make out with. These monsters want to use our systems against us.

Re your post #56 - Gov. Bush is on top of the situation, FV -- I am certain of that. :)

To take this beyond the 'thinking out loud' level, you'd need evidence of unusually heavy purchases of Disney put options.

Which there doesn't appear to be...

Yeah, he has a plan already, probably a superior plan to Grey-out Davis' in California. I will be praying for the entire country tonight since we have a blanket threat out there and the Ca threats. I just can't believe freepers have not considered who our governor happens to be while making all of their deductions.

Are you being sarcastic? In any case, John Ellis Bush is the Governor of Florida. Jeb for short. We love him.

FYI, from the most recent weekly e-newsletter of our fabulous FL gov, Gov. Jeb Bush:

"...On Thursday, I attended the first meeting of the Domestic Security Advisory Panel. The purpose of the meeting was to update the panel on the progress being made to improve current domestic security measures. It was also an opportunity for me to charge them with the responsibilities of finding and pursuing additional federal funding for security measures, identifying any security-related legislative requests, working with the President's Office of Homeland Security on a comprehensive national strategy, and implementing and evaluating the recommendations already in place in Florida.

Finally, I announced a new web page on myflorida.com that contains all information regarding domestic security. Click here to visit the page:

http://www.myflorida.com/myflorida/domestic_security/index.html

Thank you for your support and God Bless America.
Jeb Bush"

Wasn't there a movie with Peter Sellers about a weather machine? As far as I know Mother Nature is sending us this lovely present. Even if it doesn't actually hit here, we'll get wind and rain for a couple days and the grocery stores will run out of water, cat litter and potato chips. Happens every time.

This would destroy the economies of Orlando, Cocoa Beach, and Melbourne, then blow out to sea, but as for the rest of country? Saving their money and spending it on food and antibiotics instead of Disneyworld could be a boon to the rest of the country.

Apologies to my formerly fellow central Floridians.

The Skyway is an awesome bridge, but would have no real economic impact if it was taken out.

Actually, one span was taken out years ago by a barge.

The new bridge is great, but not half as important as the bridges from St. Pete to Tampa, at least economically speaking.

Unbelievable after all the election nightmare last year where Jeb was always being accused of abuse of power.

The Bahamas, West Indies et al is our Switzerland. No accountability, no allegiances. definitely an achilles heel. Definitely the place to flash some coin and pick up some planes on the cheap.

There appears to be a basic lack of social order in the south fla neck of the woods. full of transients, atta and the boys took training there. zacharias wishes he did, but instead made the mistake of going to the midwest where he drew attn and was apprehended (the missing fifth man on flight 93).

I am telling you, it makes a lot of sense. I suspect our guys are crawling all over the place. If they aren't, they haven't figured out how Bin is going to try and take us. He wants to destroy our S&P. By doing that, he rakes short positions and undermines and demoralizes the 401K folks (you and me). I wish it wasn't so, but this monster is a pretty smart monster. We take more huge hits unless we get the bad guys first. I would have the FLa coast crawling with AWACS and Coast Guard. I would put up random road blocks around So fla and start the dragnet.

Nah, this would cause major, major nuking over there. They don't want to do anything that will cause us to nuke. They surprised us with WTC and it took time to respond, in their favor. With time, heads got cooler. Now if those guys do anything to a bunch of kids at Disneyworld especially involving nuclear waste, there would be no doubt as to the response. And crying kids in afghanistan wouldn't make a bit of difference.

Everything you have said is a reason they WOULD do it.

Yup. If my goal was the goad the USA into an irrational response i.e. a blind rage response that place is high on my target list. And I take a huge bite out of the S&P and the "American Way of Life".
