How many jumped from the WTC towers?
Posted on 10/31/2001 3:16:12 PM PST by ErnBatavia
The media has seemed to suppress this (how many poor souls that felt compelled to jump from the burning towers) for whatever reason.
I, for one, would like to be armed with some sort of number who leaped to their certain deaths. I have a feeling, due to the "Vietnamization" taking place now, that this tidbit of data might come in handy.......right about the time some clown gets my '5 across the lips'.
Anybody have an idea as to the numbers involved here? Thanks in advance.

It would be really hard to find a hard number but I've spoken to several eye witnesses who have said the ground was littered with bodies.

I think it was about a dozen. They also seem to want to suppress that gruesome picture of all those poor souls sticking their heads out of the windows. People also made it to the roof and were awaiting helicopter evacuation. Poor people!!! Also, exactly how many children were killed. There had to be day care centers in the WTC, right, or children in the restaurant? For victory & freedom!!!

I have no idea how many poor souls jumped.
Our PC media is covering this up as frantically as they are covering up the photos of the dead bodies.

I'm sure it was far more than a dozen, just consider everyone on the floors above the plane's impact had no way down, and those pictures are only of one small section of a building, how many more were on other sides on how many floors?
I also understand that many were pulled out of those windows when the windows broke, so not all of them jumped. I know that if there were pictures of dead bodies from our bombs there would be no hesitation on the part of most of the news media to show them.

I've heard (and I pray that it's true) that the child care centers were located on the lower floors, and were the first to be evacuated.

my guess is that there were over 20 ... I watched at least three or four and I know they were jumping for some time (20-30 mins) there.

The number I heard was around 30. And a lot of suitcases, also.

I' ve never heard of there being a day care center in the Twin Towers. Only the federal government (see Murrah Building in Oklahoma City) does stuff like that. I think most of the children killed were passengers on the planes. Thank God it wasn't "Take Your Daughter To Work" day.

I thought it odd, that I've heard no mention whatsoever of children. Guess I should know better by now.

eople also made it to the roof and were awaiting helicopter evacuation Are you sure about this? The reports Ive heard was that the door to the roof was locked to prevent suicides and such. It was also thought, after the 93 bombing, that a roof evacuation would be impractical.

I specifically asked this question to a research associate at work. It took her most of the day, but the next day she told me that OVER 175 people jumped. There is no "official" figures because the ruins make this very difficult. Apparently this figure was derived from a ground count prior to any building collapse, and film recordings. I am told that the margin of error is +/- 25 people which is a very large margin of error.

The horrific attack is quite horrible enough without obsessing on the gruesome and truly gut-wrenching way in which some of ours died.

That pic posted here on occasion looked like in just one section there were at least 15 or 20. I think those pics should be kept for when we see the poor victims of our bombs in afghan,,I am losing patience with afghanistan and all our tears for them. They let these people, the taliban, take oveer with hardly a fight. And the men there let their wives become burkaed.

I remember hearing this once, and ony once, since that fateful day. The beloved police/fire chaplain that was killed in the towers was hit by a jumper. Has anyone else heard that?

I'm just curious but how many of you saw a report of a Lt. General being killed in the Pentagon attack?

Yes, the media would rather show films of Taliban civilians than dead Americans. The media loves to give aid and comfort to the enemy.
These lice make me sick.

Only one picture that I saw (the one that gets posted around here alot) with those poor souls hanging out the windows, one window looks as if it is a woman holding a small child or very precious package.
