On his radio show today, Rush noted McCain's public dissing of Bush for not being strong enough in tactics and strategy vs. Afghanistan and the Taliban. Rush said, if McCain had been putting his energy into fighting against military cuts, instead of fighting for anti-GOP campaign finance "reform," maybe we'd be better situated to take out the Taliban fast. And anyway, why is McCain joining Dems like Kerry and Biden in publicly beating up on Bush's prosecution of the war? Folks, he's a camera hog - and realizes that bashing the GOP is his ticket to face time on the networks. FOR A REAL SENATE MAJORITY, THE GOP NEEDS FOUR SEATS - - - one to get them to 50; two more to cancel out DEMS IN DISQUISE McCain and Chafee, and one more to give them a one vote majority over the combined Dems plus McCain and Chafee.
McLame is THE REASON for the cuts...

Sponsor: Sen McCain, John (introduced 1/20/1999)
Latest Major Action: 1/20/1999 Referred to Senate committee
Title: A bill to authorize additional rounds of base closures and realignments under the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Act of 1990 in 2001 and 2003, and for other purposes.

Inhofe said McCain has supported base closings that could threaten South Carolina facilities, voted against technology improvements in the military and has a poor voting record in supporting military growth, according to the Center for Security Policy, a pro-military watchdog organization.
There was more good news for AFGE Activists in DoD. The Pentagon was prevented from achieving its preeminent legislative objective: additional rounds of Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC). As AFGE Legislative Dateline had predicted last week after two failed attempts at the Senate Armed Services Committee mark up, BRAC is dead for this year. Indeed, BRAC is likely dead for the rest of the 106th Congress since 2000 is an election year and most lawmakers would be unlikely to support BRAC when their careers are at stake. Nevertheless, Senators John McCain (R-AZ), Carl Levin (D-MI), and Charles Robb (D-VA) mounted a strong attempt at imposing more BRAC earlier this week during floor consideration of the defense authorization bill. However, their amendment failed by a vote of 60-40.

Oh really. I don't remember Rush writing a lying letter to his draft board and setting up demonstartions in England against the war like Clinton.
So let's see here sakic, first you come up to the defense of a person who should never had gotten his "wings", but got them anyway due to family connections(McCain).
And now you are defending a person who "in writing" lied to his draft board and also when escaping the country decided to lead demonstrations against his country(Clinton).
You are 0 for 2 sakic. Three strikes and you are out.
If you were to pick a driver for your limo would you go with someone with no record or a failed record?
Which is worse, going to fight for your country even if you may be underqualified or avoiding it at all costs like 95% of Congress?

I never defended Clinton here but I guess you need to post an outright lie in order to try and prove your point. It's your logic that avoiding the draft is better than going to fight.

So far you've thrown a ball and a wild pitch. The count is 2-0. Two more and I walk to first.
I guess I have to apologize for working at my job for a few hours and commuting. Some of us don't have as much free time as others. I'll read it at my leisure but your attitude to me makes you seem a bit like a rabid dog.
I don't know let me ask you, which is worse. An inept person flying a plane(McCain) even though that everybody knows that person is inept and keeps thier mouths shut because they will get heat from his family(military brass) or that inept person finding another line of work that is more suited for him.
Rabid in my dislike for McSHAME, definately. Not rabid in my attitude towards you. You're not a postal worker by chance?
Then I guess you prefer the "courage" of Clinton who wrote a lying letter to his draft board and then showed more of your type of "courage" when he spitted in his country's face by organizing demonstrations in England.

Are you Mr. Opposite? Which of the 2 groups I mentioned does Clinton fall into? Read, then type.
