On his radio show today, Rush noted McCain's public dissing of Bush for not being strong enough in tactics and strategy vs. Afghanistan and the Taliban. Rush said, if McCain had been putting his energy into fighting against military cuts, instead of fighting for anti-GOP campaign finance "reform," maybe we'd be better situated to take out the Taliban fast. And anyway, why is McCain joining Dems like Kerry and Biden in publicly beating up on Bush's prosecution of the war? Folks, he's a camera hog - and realizes that bashing the GOP is his ticket to face time on the networks. FOR A REAL SENATE MAJORITY, THE GOP NEEDS FOUR SEATS - - - one to get them to 50; two more to cancel out DEMS IN DISQUISE McCain and Chafee, and one more to give them a one vote majority over the combined Dems plus McCain and Chafee.

Rush also pointed out that if McCain's heart was in the right place, he'd make his suggestions to the Bush team in private, not on camera every other day. McCain is a jerk.

McCain needs to shut up.

If McCain keeps trashing Bush over the war, how long before the Arizona freepers start the recall again?

McCain needs help for his attention problem. He has to be on TV every few days to satisfy his craving for attention. The media only has him on so that he can criticize the Bush Administration. He is a willing partner.

NEVER FORGET THAT MCCAIN VOTED AGAINST BUSH'S TAX CUT. WHAT A COLLOSSAL CLYMER!! IF HE DIDN'T HAVE HIS WIFE'S DADDY'S MONEY, MAYBE HE'D BE A LITTLE MORE EMPATHETIC TO THE NEED OF THE REST OF US TO KEEP SOME OF OUR HARD-EARNED DOLLARS

Rush has it right on McCain. . .and so does anyone else, who has the eyes to see through this excuse for a Republican. . .and Military Expert. . .

If we need an expert on strategy, we should ask an old soldier who captured the enemy - not one who was captured.

One art McCain never mastered: landing a jet!

You got that right.

Who cares what McCain thinks anyway? He has no following, except among the media, and even their attraction is merely because he drivels on about Bush.

Today's Rush was a classic. McSHAME actually said the fight over whether to federalize/nationalize the airport security shows why we need "meaningful campaign finance reform" blah blah blah. Someone said it earlier - Gore's accepted the fact that he's not president a lot quicker than McSHAME.

If McSHAME is such a war strategist, why did he spend most of his time during vietnam in the Hanoi Hilton giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

Can't forget to bump DM. :)

If Rush was such military strategist then why did he spend the war hiding behind various deferements? Besides, I'm sure that McCain knew that Midway was 7 months after Pearl Harbor, not 11 months.
To: laureldrive
McCain is surely addicted to TV fame. It is the only explanation for his conduct. If he isn't on TV twice a day he considers the day a dismal failure.

If Rush was such military strategist then why did he spend the war hiding behind various deferements? The deferments you refer to may have been High School. If memory serves Rush was still in High School when the Police Action ended.
mc cain is my Senator, I am here to tell you that he has one purpose, to get his face in front of a camera.
