Once again I come to ask for prayers from the Freeper family. This request is for one of our very own! Freeper Netmeg, who will be 15 year in December, is the daughter and only child of Freeper Yellow Rose of Texas. Netmeg, aka Megan, was admitted today to a North Texas childrens hospital to have major surgery on Tuesday morning. She has a severe case of scoliosis a 71 degree curve as of October 10th. Megan has had a rough time of it with health problems all her life. As a baby she had major surgery and she has endured much over the years. God willing, she is ready to have a life without medications and pain! Yellow Rose of Texas said I feel that Megan is covered in light and love from all those on FR already but really need prayers for her DR's nurses, and for a quick complete healing
We're pullin' for you, netmeg!
thanks for the great news amom.
I'll post an update on the TX page - if it hasn't already been done.
And to Megan - HONEY, YOU ROCK! I hope you'll be up and running in no time! You have many guardian angels who are still praying for you, so take care of mommy, ok? We all love you!
NetMeg....you sure got a lot of friends. : )
We are home and settled now. Megan is improving day by day, hour by hour. She went 8 hours today between pain pills, she is walking around, and so far we are even 3 and 3 at checkers.
I have been so blessed as has Megan to have each and every one of you here on FR praying and thinking of us.
The trip home took over 10 hours and is only 340 miles, we stopped a lot and let Megan and I walk a little. Once home, Megan settled right down and got right to the business of admiring her newly acquired flowers, stuffed animals balloons, book, etc. The hospital gave each child a bag of toys, make-up etc. for teenage girls, a bag of toys for Halloween, and yet another bag of toys for their 80th Anniversary, so she had a lot to do.
There is some kind of event every day for the kids at Scottish Rite Hospital, concerts, clowns, kid comics, dancers, anything and everything. A lot of the kids there are there for months at a time, Megan is the exception rather than the rule. Her surgery was not as intensive as most kids but her's was a necessity at the time as her back was curving 3 degrees about every 10 days.
This hospital is indeed one of a kind, the Doctors eat lunch and sometimes dinner in the cafeteria with the rest of us, they talk to you wherever you run into them, and they stop and talk to you if they see you first. All the Doctors meet every Night and discuss every patient in the hospital and their progress.
It has been a long day and I am tired and Megan is already asleep so I will write more amazing stuff tomorrow.
