Freeper in the Hospital for Spine Surgery - Prayers Needed
Alamo-Girl | 10/29/01 | Alamo-Girl

Posted on 10/29/2001 6:41:01 PM PST by Alamo-Girl

Once again I come to ask for prayers from the Freeper family. This request is for one of our very own!

Freeper Netmeg, who will be 15 year in December, is the daughter and only child of Freeper Yellow Rose of Texas.

Netmeg, aka Megan, was admitted today to a North Texas children’s hospital to have major surgery on Tuesday morning. She has a severe case of scoliosis – a 71 degree curve as of October 10th.

Megan has had a rough time of it with health problems all her life. As a baby she had major surgery and she has endured much over the years. God willing, she is ready to have a life without medications and pain!

Yellow Rose of Texas said “I feel that Megan is covered in light and love from all those on FR already but really need prayers for her DR's nurses, and for a quick complete healing”

Sending this to an Angel who write prayer letters. Miracles still happen -- every day, actually -- and another will happen here...but in God's time.

Blessings to you, A-G, for your compassion and caring grace.

Once again thanks to all who have been, and are praying for all involved in Megan's care here. Megan is about to get out of bed and walk in a few minutes, amazing how fast they get them up and around.

Other than the smile on my face nothing new to report. Well, just one thing, Megan is finally on a pain reliver that works, or else the pain level has dropped, which is what I think. Oh, and she is eating real food today, Chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese.

Kid friendly hospitals are amazing, which means I have to get off, kids need to phone home.

Hugs and prayers to all!!!!!!

Rose and Megan

Megan--glad to hear you are doing so well. You will love the taste of home-cooked food as never before after eating hospital stuff. I played two seasons of rugby and wound up with 4 back operations. I have an idea of what you're going through. Look at things week-to-week rather than day-to-day. You'll do fine.
Much love
PB

Wonderful news! Wish I had seen this thread earlier. It is great to know she is doing well and I can just see Yellow Rose high fiving the docs! God Bless this young lady with years of strong health. And God Bless her family, too! I hope this is the last surgery she ever has to endure!!!!

Well Yellow Rose, a big thumbsup and a huge smile for you and your daughter. I have this smile because my daughter's fiancee had a very bad car accident and broke his back, leg and a few other things almost two months ago and is just now getting home and on his feet! Thank God! BUT, while we were visiting him in the hospital I was in the elevator one day when a man entered who had the biggest smile in the world. He began immediately talking to me telling me how excited he was about his wife's amazing recovery from her back surgery. She had scoliosis and had spent her entire life in pain and crippled by it. He just beamed from happiness and relief! When I think of you, I remember him. I know it means little from a stranger, .......... no! He was a total stranger to me and I will remember him for a very long time. So! from one stranger to another, you have touched my heart through his. God bless your family and good luck for a speedy and full recovery.
