HHL, thanks so much for posting these pictures and letters from the kids. They are so sweet! And it makes me proud that they think so well of our armed services!
Thanks for the ping, Tonk! It really is a morale booster! I wouldn't have missed this thread for the world!

The Guild has been taking donations for CARE packages for the troops. We have so much stuff to ship over, it's just great. Our first package gets mailed on Wednesday to the USS Theodore Roosevelt. We have 100 lbs of items that we are sending over. I asked for the contributors to send letters and a wonderful woman from Ohio got these children's letters together from her child's class.
If you would like to contribute to our Christmas package we are making Christmas stockings. Please mail me if you have any other questions, and visit the Guild. We discuss our CARE Project almost every day.

RE post #15. I think that is the flag of St George by the US soldiers.

Are the items going to be sent in FR's name (and the Guild's)?
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
How fun for you. You're a dear for sharing them here!
To: my_pointy_head_is_sharp
They are being sent in the Guild's name, and we are including copies of The Freeper USO Canteen. We are doing our part to support the troops. I am also going to make copies of all the children's pictures so more soldiers can have them. This is a huge project. We have the best stuff and the best folks contributing.

How heart warming! Thanks for the ping Amy!

I am indexing this for the Hugh Hewitt bump_list.
If anyone finds ANY thread that may be of interest to nationally syndicated talk show host Hugh Hewitt (or his listeners), just post a reply to "Hugh Hewitt," and THAT thread will be marked for retrieval, when that bump_list link is clicked.

Those are great pictures. But wait. Aren't those children at risk of being caught by the zero tolerance PC police for drawing weapons and violent scenes?
Screw the NEA, God bless America

When I was in the Navy, and doing circles in the Gulf of Sidra, (remember Qaddafi's line of Death?), I received some mail like this from a sixth grade class in Florida. I can't tell you what something like this does for a guy after 6 months at sea.
To: LadyX
Yes, I saw that too. How wonderful, how dear they are.
