Kids say and draw the darndest things to the troops

The Free Republic Ladies' Investigative Guild has a CARE package project for the troops of Operation Enduring Freedom. Several school children have contributed pictures and letters and I would like to share them with you.

I don't know if you can read it on #2, but the UA soldier is saying " These people are Dweebs", the guy next to him reaching up is saying " Wow a birdie" at the eagle on top of the flag pole. The skinny guy is dreaming of becoming a muscle man and in the box it says " You wish", and the Cartman guy is saying " More Food".

They would drive the peaceniks crazy as protest posters--everything the left does is "for the children," right?

reminds me of my kids' drawings after the new york attack

glad the kids weren't suspended for putting to paper what they thought
(and from personal experience, i can tell you that would have happened
had they drawn these at school prior to 911, what with soldiers and guns).

Oh my gosh!! They are praying. Good grief. I am so sorry that I said they were jumping rope. I couldn't figure out why they would be jumping rope next to a cross.

That is wonderful what you're having the kids do; our brave and awesome fighting men and women need this. It reminds them what they're fighting for. It's also a good way for the kids to deal with all of this. There are several dads in my neighborhood that are Guard. My sons' bedroom has become the "situation room" and they have a map of the middle east (came out of one of my Desert Storm Books) they use to plot strategy. They also patrol the neighborhood. They're more calm than I am.
