I was a week too young to voteI voted even though I was 17 (no, this isn't an admission of voter fraud, I turned 18 by the time of the election, but I wrote on my absentee ballot a day before my birthday. I sort of had to mail it in, or it might not have arrived in time. I was just following instructions on the letter to send it in. You know how Al just wants to "count ever vote," I don't think he'd mind. My vote didn't even matter, I was voting in a liberal district of Kalifornia. I didn't even think about waiting to fill it out until I turned 18 until after I'd mailed it in--I hope the Gestapo doesn't pull out the postmarked letter and march me off to jail. Would I go to Juvenile Hall? Technically, the crime was committed a few hours before I turned 18)
The odd thing is, I was set to be born around Nov. 17th or so, but I came out early enough that I was able to cast a vote, while some kids due in early November didn't pop out and were C-secs, so they don't get to vote. It's silly, I guess I was a younger fetus than you, yet I got to vote and you didn't =)

I kinda lurked for a few years. My mom tried and tried to get me to read this forum but the content just seemed so pointless when i was your age. But luckily the election changed it all... I sucked up some serious bandwidth pressing F5 over and over and over. My mom ended up pretty happy

No, not a teen..........but the parent of seven, all home-schooled, including three teenagers (14, 15, and 19.......not to mention a 22-year-old). My 19-year-old is a writer on a prominent college campus Conservative publication, Broadside (NC State University). Award-winning pub. ALL of my kids are Conservative and very, VERY cool kids. God bless, and know that you are on the right side (also, it's the very cool side; believe me...........my kids are well-known for their Conservative views and even teachers/professors won't debate them..:) ).

didn't even know that Clinton was anti-abortionMy fault, that should say that I didn't even know that Clinton was pro-abortion. See, I still don't know what I'm doing, 8 years later.

My wife accuses me of having suffered arrested development at age 15... Welcome to FreeRepublic. Just remember, no running in the halls, no chewing gum and no talking in class. And open doors for ladies and respect your elders..even if we dont always behave ourselves..it is good practice !!

[...retired from the Army the same month RR was sworn into office...]The midterms of his first administration had already happened by the time I was born. Have a nice day. :-)
Logos was the first name I tried for when I signed up, but you had it first. Next I tried to get Publius, but of course it was taken, so I just used a version of my real name.

Great to have you here. You'll learn a lot. When I was 14 I was playing baseball 5 hours a day. I knew I was a conservative even then. Wish the FreeRepublic had been around back then.

Another fellow teenager here...19 years old to be exact and a sophmore at Concordia University, Wisconsin. Never been homeschooled, but been in private schools my entire life.
