When the FBI issues these warnings they had better start getting more specific, because these vague statements are not very effective. It's hard to "be vigilant" at every waking moment if you have no idea what you are looking for.

Your frustration is shared by many of us. "Be vigilant" means what? The problem is that there are threats that are VERY real. When President Bush said we won't know the successes, we need to recognize that there are people putting their lives on the line EVERY DAY trying to keep one step ahead of the terrorists AND when they do succeed in thwarting this evil -- we will not know.

I pray for our military personnel ALWAYS and I pray for our law enforcement personnel ALWAYS. I sincerely pray for God's intervention in our behalf. God Bless America.

Yes, of course. Ashcroft can't win for losing. If he didn't say anything and he knew something and something happened, he would get blamed. Now, he goes out and TELLS US that there is an UNSPECIFIED terrorist alert going out (which basically means he got info that's credible but he didn't get any details) and people are still complaining. Some people will never be happy, will they?

Indeed. The fact this has happened twice could mean any number of things: We hear them talking, but cannot say what in order to protect our ability to hear them. We have a spy but obviously cannot reveal what he is saying. Or we think we have a spy who is actually yankin our chain.

It is enough of a threat that W was told of it. If it is worth his time to hear, it's worth my time to hear, even if I don't get told everything.

Y'know....I kinda think we're being told - YOUR responsible for your selves....which is GOOD - isn't that what we all have been preaching - that we should take more responsibility for ourselves....which to me is also what a citizen militia is about - only in this case, our eyes, ears, and mouths are probably more important than guns....
