Muslim rape initiative

The country's leading Muslim organisations have initiated a campaign to focus on, and hopefully find a solution to, the increasing number of gang rapes being committed by teenage immigrants. Babar Baig, spokesman for the Muslim Youth League, said it was the duty of all Muslims to get to the bottom of '...this abnormal behaviour and moral depravity.' The campaign kicked off with a public debate in Valby this week attended by Muslim leaders, social researchers, integration experts and politicians.

Once again, I'd like to recommend "Nine Parts of Desire" by Geraldine Brooks as a fascinating book which documents the life of women in Islam. Of course, this provides keen insights into their "warrior" husbands and the strong chord of sexual obsession in fundamentalist Islam.

Brooks lived in the ME for years, and became acquainted with the lives of women in several countries.

Interesting facts:

1. Iranian women, and Iraqui women probably have it better than most women in Islam. Things are very hard for Saudi, Palestinian, Moroccan, and Algerian women. Iranian women can have careers as long as they keep their obscene faces out of the sights of the men, who have so little control over their libidos that women must look "like death taking a walk"...

2. Rape of infidel women is a conventional theme of Islam, part of the spoils of conquest. According to the Koran, a man can't take a woman against her will, but there seems to be a long tradition of doing just that. One account of the prophet's death involves his poisoning by a captive Jewish woman.

How can we criticize a fundamentalist cult when the West has one of its own--fundamentalist political correctness. Allow your children to be raped and killed, but nevernevernever put yourself in the position that someone MIGHT call you a bigot...

Interestingly enough, Baywatch is the most popular program watched by Iranians with their (illegal) satellite dishes. I'm not sure I like what that says about the USA ...
