Minnesota Peace Rally Freep
Self | 10-27-01 | Aeronaut

Posted on 10/27/2001 5:13:11 PM PDT by Aeronaut

Today several Freepers and other true patriots countered a "peace through total surrender to terrorism" rally. The organizers declared that there were 1,100 protesters at this event. Capitol Security said the Capitol steps only hold 500 people, and the steps were not full. There were about 30-40 Freepers and friends. Chants of "Osama needs a hug!" rang out. We sang "God Bless America." We noticed that among the <sarcasm> 1100 </sarcasm> protesters there were no American Flags. We must have had at least twenty.

There were some great signs, too. I hope some of the Freepers have pictures to post. I brought my digital camera, but I ended up being too busy with "mutt management" to get any good pics.

Freep on!!!

It was a lovely 45 degrees with a cold wind blowing but a good time was had by all. FReepers present, (please add your name if I missed you),

Aeronaut
BigBrotherSucks
Dawntreader
gore_sux
terilyn
MattMa
Valin

Aeronaut, Dawntreader, Gore_sux and Terilyn were all interviewed by local media. They seemed more interested in talking to us than the peaceniks. I even got Mr. Terilyn to go with me. I'll get him converted yet! He had a lot of fun too.

At one point one of the idiots was trying to speak about the current situation in Afghanistan and he went off on a ramble about how the cops were targeting him because he was black. The FReepers chanted, "We like cops". Needless to say the MN State Troopers that were there for crowd control turned around and gave us big smiles.

At the end of the protest it was announced that everybody should leave together for "safety"! What a joke. What a bunch of cowards.

Wonderful! How brave of you all to stand up to 1,100 protestors! lol..... Why is it that these "peace" protestors seem to often be so violent? Kind of negates their whole idea....

Glad to hear you all showed them your strength!

My first official FReep - I was late because of an appt. but I'm glad I went. Actually, they weren't violent. They announced that they should leave together for safety. Like the 20 - 25 of us were going to jump them or something. For crying out loud, a couple people had kids with signs and people on our side had dogs with red/white/blue neckerchiefs on. Yeah, we were pretty scary! Not!

Good job!!

These peaceniks are idiots. When I was in college, I couldn't help but notice that most of the peacenik enviro-socialist types that I ran into were silver spoon trust-fund babies that had nothing better to do than drive around in their $35,000 Land Rovers and Jeep Cherokees spending mommy and daddy's money. They have no clue what America did for them and their families. They think that all their money and goodies just fell out of the sky and landed on their parents because they are special. These are the people that should be the most grateful for the good stuff they have, but they are the ones who forsake it the most (just like the Hollywood people who have nothing but contempt for the people that throw them their money and attention).

Being originally from Jackson, Wyoming, I have plenty of experience with rich liberal kids. There are people right now that I graduated with that literally have never had a job in their life. They are in their 30s and they are still living off mommy and daddy and have nothing to do but travel the country smoking dope and spending their trust-fund money while attending liberal rallies. These are the kind of idiots that you deal with a lot at enviro-socialist rallies and other scumbag liberal events. Go to Jackson, WY if you want to see these retards in their natural habitat. It's one of the big reasons that my parents don't live there anymore, and I don't, either.

Actually, the "Osama needs a hug" chant came from the FReepers. Some goofball was talking about peace and love and understanding the world and that was our answer.

H666- where did you go to college? Stanford? Harvard? Sorry you had to put up w/such creeps. Send your kids to Texas A&M - they won't have that kind of college experience.
