Defeat the Left in New Jersey and Virginia!!!
Me | Today | A Fighting Conservative

Posted on 10/27/2001 10:25:01 AM PDT by kanaell

This is any of y'all in New Jersey and Virginia. After being here for so long I know y'all (except for a merciful few) are intelligent people ... which is probably why y'all are Freepers. Now I'll stop kissing ass and get to the point. Victories for the Democrats in the two races this year would be seriously damaging to our President. Therefore this is the absolute wrong time for complacency.

So I'm asking y'all to use your intelligence and creativity and come up with a Top X List To Vote For Bret Schundler / Top X List To Vote For Mark Earley for your neighborhoods. 'X' is any number (preferably above five but even one would do) you can come up with. Focus on the important stuff, (i.e. Taxes, Education, Car Insurance, Crime, Emergency Management, Parkway Tolls (NJ), State Spending, Gun Control (VA especially), Partial Birth Abortion, Parental Consent, etc. As an alternative, you can instead write up refutations of the lies being spewed in the Democrat (Warner and McGreevey) ads on the airwaves.

Try to make your list as detailed, as informative but as short and plain-spoken as possible. If you can support your reasons with quotes, stats, historical trends, etc. please do so. You can find these at the websites of the Milton Friedman Foundation, Heritage Foundation, Mackinac Policy Center, American Legislative Exchange Council, etc. Also do not forget to taut your candidate's record where possible. For NJ Freepers go here and here. For VA Freepers go here.

Next, please remember to fax the Campaign headquarters your list with your name and e-mail/number and phone them to make sure they have no qualms with what you've written. As soon as you get permission proceed to spread your list as widely and as effectively as possible. Print and photocopy as many as you can into leaflets/posters. Do NOT, under any circumstances have anything put in mailboxes ... if need be, leave your leaflet on a doorstep. If your child has a newsround, give him the leaflets to deliver with the paper, etc.

The numbers (Phone/Fax) for the Schundler Campaign are:
(973) 325-9700 / (973) 325-2239.

The numbers (Phone/Fax) for the Earley Campaign are:
(804) 440-2001 / (804) 440-2010 [Richmond]
(757) 482-3100 / (757) 482-3118 [Chesapeake]
(703) 388-0800 / (703) 388-0821 [Springfield]

This is important. If you allow the Left to win these elections because of your jobs, you'll soon lose your jobs as they implement their pro-socialist nanny state policies. So you're NOT too busy to do this. It'll only take a few hours of your time.

Good luck and God bless. See y'all at the finish line.

LOL, now I may have a touch of Dunlop's disease, but a fat butt? Nope. Someone said from the rear I look like a refugee from Auschwitz.

By the way, why did you ever add Tator to your SN. From the content of your reply, it appears that the first name is descriptive enough.

FReegards,

Actually on Friday's "Crossfire" liberal activist Peter Finn (Sp.?) not just predicted victory on Nov. 6 but was already "claiming victory" in both NJ and VA gubernatorial races and the NYC mayor's contest. Finn is a former bootlicker for bILLclinton. And the Republican spokesman, Cliff May, did not deny the Democrat leads in both states. May in fact made the ridiculous "point" that the GOP would have won in VA and NYC if Governor Gilmore and Mayor Giuliani had been constitutionally permitted to seek reelection! The GOP knows its chances are growing dimmer as we approach November.

I'm afraid Warner is going to win. I was in Waynesboro yesterday and Warners signs were all over the mountains. That's normally repub.country.

I wish you all the best and Godspeed. While I don't live in either state, your suggestions are valid and can work. Last election, my family and I wrote a "top ten reasons to vote for Bush/Cheney" list for our 200 home neighborhood. We decided not to run it by the local committee and signed it, "your concerned neighbors for a better America". We had a great response, delivered it on bright color paper with red/white and blue ribbons to each door. We heard from neighbors that it was the first time in years many voted since they received a letter on their door that told them the straight facts in a simple format that touched them! Keep it savvy but touch on all issues, family, taxes, country, freedom to worship, the boy scout issue, etc.. Kudos to you and we'll be praying that many will join your front lines...which is where the war will be won or lost. Godspeed!

I hope it is not too much to expect a Republican President to help get Republican conservatives elected!

Sorry, but I respectfully disagree. Its not Bush's job to get governors elected, even if he had the time to do so. Besides, can you imagine the media's response/coverage/bashing, with all thats going on militarily, anthrax etc.

I think its a bad idea, and I live in the People's Republic of Jersey. So while I'd loved to see Schundler elected, he's gonna have to get himself (and his ideas) elected.

WHAT IS UP WITH THESE REPUBLICANS ENDORSING MARK WARNER?? First a former governor and then a delegate in the house??

Both Linwood Holton (former governor) and Panny Rhodes (delegate) are RINOS of the worst kind.

Holton has been at odds with the party for most of the 20 plus years since he left office. He's no Republican, even though he claims to be one. The endorsement was no surprise. And, his son-in-law is the liberal RAT candidate for Lt. Governor.

Panny Rhodes is just po'd 'cause the party tried to get rid of her last time around and did redistrict her into retiring this time. She's voted with the RATS for years and fought Governor Allen AND Governor Gilmore on all of their major proposals.

And, Judy Peachee Ford, who heads up "Virginians for Warner" is an old GOP has been fund raiser who is ticked because she's no longer relevant.

The big difference is though that those were put up by paid operatives, not by volunteers you'll see putting up our signs. This one is not over yet.

I agree wholeheartedly! I have seen some really choice tactics from the Gore/Lieberman campaign. They were stapling up posters last year on telephone posts. So? I called up some people and they were forced to remove them because THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT! So?? Mark Earley will probably win the WNIS AM area which is Hampton Roads. I see a lot of Warner signs, but it's the GET OUT THE VOTE that matters. Also, I look forward to my annual phone call from the Inept NAACP in the area to drive me to vote. I should let them pay the gas and then after I've voted for Earley tell them where they can get off. However, that would be mooching like a Liberal..so? I'll drive myself and my son (So? He can learn that R stands for Right and D stands for Demented) to the polling booth. It should be a good experience for my 2 year old. LOL!! Have a great one!!

>> WHAT IS UP WITH THESE REPUBLICANS ENDORSING MARK WARNER?? <<

You haven't heard of RINOs??? They'll called that for a reason. We even have a few RINOs on this forum, although no one likes to admit it. I've meet some self-described "Republicans" (and freepers!) that are so screwy they're supporting RENO over Jeb Bush-- let alone the idiots who want to see Warner defeat Earley.

RINOs just mean the rest of us have to work harder. Don't let them distract you-- they only represent 5-10% of the GOP. For every RINO we lose, there is a Democrat we can get to do the same to their side. ;-)

Thanks Billy! Of course I've heard of RINOs. We have a Senate filled with them..UGH! Anyways, I don't let anyone keep me from voting. I'm just waiting for a response from Mark Earley. I haven't heard too many radio ads or television ads from the Earley campaigns. The ones I have seen have been very nice. Especially since I hate liberals claiming to be a "FISCAL CONSERVATIVE". That drives me crazy. LOL!

Swallow the defeatism ... there is still time, after all.

Personally, I believe that he's going to be there ... but I'll be calling and e-mailing the White House just to make sure and I encourage all of us to do the same.

Dubya has learnt from his father's mistakes. I doubt that he will ignore his base and allow the Rats to get those two states.

One major thing I've noticed about us Conservatives is that we're are quick to criticize and complain but we hardly ever do anything to force change. Florida last year was an anomaly my friend. I happily thought afterwards that Conservatives had finally realized we can make a difference but I have been proven bitterly wrong.

We'll watch Liberals hand this country over to Castro and Stalin clones and we'll still do nothing but complain and say we're "busy". So don't hold your breath that anyone would take the time to implement your idea - it is very good by the way. I shall take the time to create a "Top X List" and freepmail it over to you by tomorrow even though I am in the UK at the moment.

But you can bet that the same NJ and VA Conservatives who today will not lift a finger to help Earley and Schundler would be the first to complain about Governors Warner and McGreevey. If FreeRepublic were a Liberal site you can bet that the Democrats would be in charge of the House, Senate and White House right now. Libs can mobilize for their cause in an instant. For Conservatives it takes an act of God.

Any Conservative who does nothing, any man or woman who claims to have strongly held principles but refuses to act on them should be ashamed of him/herself. If Schundler or Earley lose these elections it will be partly the fault of false do-nothing so-called "Conservatives" who were too busy to help out but not too busy to whine and complain.

I got a call today from a high school volunteer manning the phone banks at the Earley campaign alerting me to a northern Virginia rally at Interstate Van Lines in Springfield this Saturday morning, the same location Senator Allen last appeared before his victory the following Tuesday. The entire ticket will be there accompanied by Senators Allen and Warner, I don't know about Gov. Gilmore. I put in the plug for President Bush or Vice President Cheney to make an appearance. He promised to pass the suggestion along. This event always gets covered in the D.C. media and provides lots of free exposure for our candidate.

I've been working on the Schundler Campaign for a whole year and am actively telling my friends, relatives, and members in my district to vote for him!!

The gun lobby is a bit annoyed at him and may throw a monkey wrench in the campaign. They are a hard group to please. Primadonna's though they are.

Anti-Defeatism BUMP! Get off your asses and DO something besides predicting defeat. I consider those who predict defeat over a week before an election to be no better than RINOs. Get out there and WIN!

I heard this morning that Warner leads by around 10 points in the latest poll...

So how did the shindig with Cheney go? This whole Warner thing has got me worried.
