Conclusion:

Until our nation (USA) truly addresses immigration legal/illegal, our Homeland Defense Program is a joke!  We must cancel all Visas, and deport Aliens, both legal and illegal, and clear the deck.

As with the Israelis being held still in New York, whether innocent or not, we must act.  Some will say this is "Throwing the Baby out with the bathwater", maybe.  But mark these words, this action WILL OCCUR, deportations, if another major terrorist attack occurs!!

Kick all people from another country out... ok I live in San Francisco I tend to see more people from other countries then from here, so are you saying that we should get rid of all of them? We wouldn't have much of a country left then would we? I totally agree that the INS needs a kick in the behind and needs to crack down and do background checks on people before they enter, but to kick everyone out we would no longer be a super power, just a large land mass with a sparse population.

It's interesting that some continue to find humor in this huge security threat.

I guess 6,000 Americans being murdered in such a violent manner has not got their attention and some refuse to wake up to the fact that our borders and immigration policies are a national digrace and now a complete national security nightmare.

I guess the question now is, when will the Federal Government end this immigration "free for all"?

Israeli Jews are not commiting terrorism anywhere, much less against America. Treating the guilty and the innocent alike is unjust.
We should investigate and if neccesary expell all Muslims with Student VISAs. The terrorists come from this group. We should also look at the other VISAs from these countries.
Indiscriminate expulsions are unjust. We need to discriminate between threats and non-threats. Fundamentalist Muslmin men are threats.

Visas Expire. If your wife, from Brazil is legally imigrating or filing for citezenship, more power to you. The problem is this, too many here on Student Visas, Work Visas, EXPIRED DOCUMENTS, etc. It is time to tighten this noose up, big time. Sorry it gores your Ox!! Afterall Nouge, THIS IS WAR!!!

Enough is enough. I've had it with these 'nuke em destroy em deport em' nonsense. Lets talk turkey.

Lets say we're talking about 1 million aliens (many of whom are green-card holders) OK. Let's assume each contributes an average of $20k directly to the GDP. We're talking about a $20 billion hit to the GDP right away.

Then, let's add in the multiplier effect. Afterall, deported aliens won't be buying burgers and cars and TVs. And the drop in business will cause lower wages, and less demand in other sectors, who will also have reduced wages, etc etc. At a modest 5-to-1 multiplier effect, we are now talking of $100 billion.

OK. Now let's add in the cost of having the army seal in the Mexican border. Another few $billions.

Now let's add in the bureaucratic cost of processing mass deportations. More taxes, please.

By now, most are saying "heck, is this worth it?"

Well, not really. This will put the economy in a tail spin. It still won't protect us from a container that might carry a weapon of mass destruction. It won't protect our troops and embassies. Furthermore, by alienating middle-easterners, it will reduce our ability to hire linguists for counter intelligence operations.

I know some are saying "but we gotta do sumptin."

Fine. Lets start by hiring a few thousand Americans of middle-eastern background with good language skills, and have them infiltrate these organizations. Then, instead of mass deportations, we can deport a few hundred non-productive, parasitic terrorists. Before we do, we collect as much info as possible about their networks, so we can insure that if their buddies apply for visas, they are quickly identified.

I personally volunteered to work for the FBI as a Persian linguist. I love the USA. But I'm annoyed as heck at these morons who keep blabbering about mass deportations. Get a clue, please.
