A group of Afghan children collect packets of food aid after an U.S. aircraft completed a night time air drop over a refugee camp in Kumkishlyak in Northern Afghanistan, October 25, 2001. Afghanistan's ruling Taliban on Thursday dismissed as U.S. propaganda a Pentagon statement that they intended to poison food dropped by U.S. aircraft or provided by humanitarian groups to Afghan civilians. The Pentagon said on Wendesday that it had received information the Taliban may poison the food supplies to Afghan civilians and blame the United States. REUTERS/Vasily Fedosenko

Thats right I am,I am also an American that sees this government fiddling as Rome burns..so afraid of having the oil supply cut off that they will pretend it is "the evil one" and not Islam that rejoices and parties over 7000 dead Americans. So afraid of bad political publicity they allow illigal Arab Muslims to remain and do not close our borders (check your kids cany smallpox is nasty..)

Murder is a sin..yet you pay to have an army..is that hypocricy?

If these people cared about their own children they would allow Christian Aid workers in to feed them.instead of jailing them.

these aren't Saudi Arabia's "people" any more than they are ours.

My tribe not your tribe, uh? All are arabic (except the Iranians who are Persian). Tribal distinctions are not ethnic distinctions.

Oh! You don't underSTAND!
These are PEACEFUL CHRISTIANS!
They are only trying to SAVE US from the VIOLENT KILLER MUSLIMS!
That's why they want to exterminate all multi-billion of them.
Children included.

These hypocrits are the Christian equivalent of the Taliban.
They are as representative of Christians as the Taliban Muslims are representative of Islam.
It's no question that the world would be better off without both groups.

Only it's not "buying their love" it's "winning hearts and minds". So what if it's a propaganda campaign? You make it sound like there's something wrong with it.

Yes, there is something wrong with it. Dropping food has nothing to do feeding the Afghans (a terribly short-sighted thing to do -- until they abandon paganism) and everything to do with assauging the imagined 'guilt' of American liberals.

They starved last decade and last year and they will starve next year and next decade -- unless they abandon their paganism. Cute their children may be -- all children are cute -- but with their beclouded minds suffused with paganism very dangerous to us. But I guess if you weren't in the WTC and don't expect to fly or open mail, not to you.

No they, aren't. Arabs are Semites, but the bulk of the Afghanis are Aryan, I believe. They come from different racial stock. That's much different than tribal distinction.

I do not "hate" these children..I do not believe it is wisdom to give aid and comfort to the enemy, and make no mistake, inspite of the stuff coming out of the US office of propaganda Islam is the emeny

It's not just Islam that is the enemy... how do you feel about Falwell and Robertson giving ``aid and comfort to the enemy'' immediately following the attacks?

I hate to break it to you, but the objective here is not to promote Christianity at the expense of Islam, nor is it to feed Afghani children... it is to liquidate the ability of Al-Qaida to wage terror against Americans, subject to minimizing American casualties. These food drops have a purpose: to win more Afghanis to our cause and help pry them from the Taliban. If the drops help save the life of one American soldier, they will have been well worth the cost.

Well you might also want to add my son that will draft eligible to your prayers..along with his navy brother and airforce sister in law

You may also want to pray for the children of the postal workers that havve died along with the children of the people that died on 9/11

When you get done with that you may want to pray for the children that will get contaminated candy next wed (smallpox??)and maybe for all the people that work in the buildings that will be the next targets..

Honey this is a long way from over..this is a war fought right here

Now if you have money may I suggest there are starving kids in Mexico and South American as well as Africa..

There are starving kids all over the place...these cute kids are part of a PR campaign to convience the oil rich Muslim nations that we are nice folks..it is self serving ..not noble....

PSSSSSSSS They hate us and are teaching those sweeties to hate the American and Jewish infidels too....

Ah, so you're worried about the Afghan children giving your kids smallpox? Don't worry, most of them don't travel, they're too busy just trying to stay alive. Face it, you've been busted.

Do you listen to the news at all??They believe that the terrorists have the capability of infecting America with smallpox . $50,000 or so cash purchases of candy by arab men have made an unhappy Halloween possible..you relly need to watch the news more!

Yeah, you say that. But just wait. One night, you'll hear them yell "There's a monster under the bed". You'll go in to show them there is nothing there and WHAMMO! Claymore mine right square in the puss.

The ghouls are cashing in on this in every way imaginable.

First the televangelists come out and say we deserved this for not being intolerant enough.

Then, the anti-porn and ``creation science'' folks come out with statements that say ``well [insert abomination here] isn't as headline-grabbing as the 9-11 attacks, but in the long run it is every bit as damaging to your soul''.

Now, they see the war as an opportunity to shamelessly impose their meme on other countries.

NO not bitter or too old..but smart enough to see a snow job when I see one..If these children are indeed starving, and if the people of tha country really care..then American aid workers can go in and give food and medical care

Instead we drop packets of food, which may come from the moon god himself, on them..70% illiterate have no sure knowlege where the food is from..but it makes great pictures doesnt it? Makes you feel warm all over huh? ..Hillarys village in full swing...

Let American christian aid workers in if they need help..

I do care about those kids..but I care more about mine and my neighbors.....

Hillarys village in full swing

Are you trying to tell me that if someone helps a child it's "Hillary's village in full swing?" Are you demented? Hillary never helped anyone other than herself in her entire life. What does any of this have to do with Hillary?

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them.
When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.

This has as much to do with self gratification and "feeling good" about ourselves as it does helping the kids...somehow it helps our national conscience...feel good hormones flood our bodies "see what good people we really are"

Of course keeping the gas flowing is a "nice "side effect

BTW now they say we may never catch the "evil one" ummmmm why are we bombing the heck out of that country then....well not to worry we are feeding their kids...and it feels right and noble and pure

It is Islam that is refusing the children from coming to Jesus..ask the Christian aid workers that are awaiting trial there..one of them mentioned Jesus..death is the penality....and nothe followers of Islam will never enter..no 70 virgins..

Are any kids eating the food we're dropping? I think they are. That's good enough for me. I guess that makes me simple. So be it.

Utah Girl, and others, I agree--I don't understand what's wrong with these pictures. For the first time, I could show my 6 year-old son something and he was excited about it. He drew a picture for the Afghan kids, and we sent $20 and some stuffed animals, but nothing brought it home to him like tonight. I said, hey, Christopher, look, here's the children the President wanted to help! And he couldn't believe it, he wanted to print it, he noticed how the girl was eating jam out of the packet.... You know, it's not that easy to stage pictures of kids. If they're hungry, they'll eat, if they're not, they won't. Believe\, me, I've tried to stage pictures with my kids and the more I want it, the fewer results I get!!
