I have to say, no matter who wins the ALC, both teams really were a sight to behold. As a Yankee fan, I was pleased by the Yankees comeback in the late innings.
But, the Mariners proved themselves to be a worthy opponent last night, and they showed they belong in the championship series. They have quite a team, Seattle has much to be proud of.
As per MarMema's deal, she and I will unite behind the winner of this series. FREEPERS UNITE!

Where was Hillary? Oh I get it. Yankee fans are white conservative zealots who listen to right wing talk radio.

Mr. Lucky 2 and I were also asking the question, where is Hillary? We thought that she was an avid Yankee fan. After Saturday night she was probably scared to mix with your regular Yankee fan. Go Yankees Go!

Go Chicago "Wait 'til Next Year" Cubs!!

I was there last night. It was a great night for the Yankees. The only thing that would have made it better if the queen socialist was there and got her A$$ booed out of the stadium.

You forget, she isn't up for re-election for another 6 years. No need for her to show up.

I'll be at tonight's game. No way we're going back to Seattle. (The Mariners looked better in the regular season, IMO.)

Of course, we Diamondback Freepers will be the only ones cheering after the 4-game World Series. :-)

I was there last night. It was a great night for the Yankees. Oh, man, you have to give us more than that. Tell us about Soriano's home run (like, how loud did you yell and how many people's beers hit you). Tell us what it was like conga-dancing down the ramps afterward.
I have to say, if there's another home run like that tonight, I hope they DON'T play "Cotton-eyed Joe" afterward. Too much fan reaction--I seriously thought for a minute that the upper deck might come down. I was worried about you guys in the stands!

As a Yankee fan, I was pleased by the Yankees comeback in the late innings.Ditto. But I'm afraid 'ole Lou may go off the deep end if the Yanks win tonight....
To: KLT
Yanks will wrap it up tonight so Lou can't make good on his 'prediction'. They'll be going back to Seattle alright, but it will be to make golf reservations for the weekend.

I am quite happy that such a young club as the D-Backs have done so well all year and won the National League pennant! Randy Johnson may not be very handsome, but he sure is, well... a good pitcher!!!!
I once was an avid, blood, Cubs fan, being from Chicago and all. But we had to take the Cubs with more than a cup or two of self deprecating humor, just to stay sane. I remember back then seeing a cartoon showing two devils in Hades, talking... in the background was another devil skating on a pond of frozen brimstone or something. One devil said to the other, "Gee, the Cubs musta won the pennant!"
It will be quite a thrill to watch the Backs meet the (Yankees) (Mariners) in the World Series! God Bless America!
