There were at least a couple of hundred anti-American "peace" demonstrators assembled. They had a platform, ample PA system, and numerous speakers from various traitor groups. The rally appeared to be a veritable lovefest of various far-left groups: N.O.W., Free Mumia, EarthFirst!, every stripe of campus anti-War and pro-communist group. Che Guevarra t-shirts, etc. It was a beautiful, sunny, Arizona fall day. Crystal blue sky. About 90 degrees. Lots of perky little college coeds with bare Britney midriffs, piercings, tatoos, along with the usual hairy, smelly, unwashed rabble normally associated with the word "scum." Extensive display of the American flag was virtually non-existent.
When members of the crowd were interviewed and asked if they had a solution to dealing with terrorism, no answers were forthcoming. "Well, ahhh, well, we really need to stop the bombing and racism and deal with our own problems here first - like hunger and homelessness. And we need to stop our dependence on oil and destroying the environment. Then the rest of the world might respect us and not hate us so much," blah, blah, blah, ad nauseaum.

The numbers of pro-Americans that showed up? 3-5 maybe. Very sad. It was a great day, so I must assume most FReepers felt their time was better spent taking hikes with the family in the mountains or desert, mowing the lawn, washing the car, whatever. Producing a video. It will be available for viewing when ready, if anyone's interested. Some choice footage of interviews.

I agree with you 100 percent. Just expressing my disappointment at the low numbers. Didn't mean to lay any blame. If anything, I am disappointed that I was unable to sound the alarm sooner. This just means that we've got to be more vigilant to monitor this stuff and be ready to strike when the opportunity affords. On the other hand, I suppose there's something that can be said for just ignoring these idiots and not giving them the time of day. Unfortunately, the media does not, and without opposition, they give the impression that they are much stronger, and more representative of the will of the people than the patriots. I believe they should be FReeped at every turn and publicly exposed for the menace to decency and freedom that they are.

Where are these anti-American events? There were 5000+ who showed up in San Francisco yesterday. Didn't even know about it until I read it in the paper. I would be there with pro-American groups, if I only knew. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THEY (ANTI-AMERICANS) ARE GETTING THE WORD OUT TO THEIR GROUPS? How do we counter them? Or should we just start our own time and places and let them be surprised?

Coded Subliminal message to al Terrorists, Pro-Terrorists, & Leftist Subversives, including especially Osama bin Laden/al Q'aeda, Mullah Omar/Taliban, Hamas, Hizbolah, Islamic Jihad, & Saddam Hussein:
"ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US."

Apparently the whining malcontents just can't take the heat of being out of the limelight. It sounds very similar to cool guy's post last night from the San Francisco rally, though thankfully it was a bit better attended.
San Francisco Rally
Thank you for being there and taking a stand.

FR needs to be at these events, if just to provide counterweight. It is regrettable that only a handful of supporters showed up, but the Free Republic Network is being designed right now so that if we can't head them off, we can at least respond after the fact with a demonstration of our own.
Dittomom is the FReeper of record in Arizona, and she'd be glad to direct you to a chapter or help you start your own.
Folks, now is the time for activism, to show the libs that there are hordes of people who still believe in America.

One of the sites listing anti-U.S. activities is
this one; also
this one. They list events by region, date, etc.
To: GalFromTheBay
I heard about it on here BEFORE the event, it was on the front page news here.

Good for you. Sometimes things don't come together so the good guys can show but I am sure you had an impact and the video will be worth much. Hang in there. From a Californian FReeper.

A one person FReep vs. a multitude of America haters carries more clout with the American public than you can ever imagine. I salute your efforts. Keep up the good fight!
Liberty, Truth, and Justice will prevail as long as patriotic citizens are willing to stand up and be counted.

Oh, great! Your homework assignment for today is: Go to Post #14 on this thread and print off the "Love Note" from O'Sodomy haz-been Laden and take to class for "show n tell!" ;-)

The low numbers are disappointing.
I suspect that many of us, including freepers, are not going to take this crap much longer.
We were out in full force against Gore and his minions when he tried to steal the election. The stakes are MUCH higher now.
GET ORGANIZED NOW, FREEPERS, AND COUNTER THESE CREEPS!!!
