That is a stretch considering most of the people he came to didn't consider them a food source to begin with and may be why there was still a herd of them left.
I thought it taught a valuable lesson. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this too.

There may well be a lesson there but whether or not to eat pork or food conservation you must admit is not readily discernable. It's kind of funny that since these swine became fish food many a Jew ended up eating fish who had different compunctions about what they ate.

It says, “There were giants in the earth in those days,” but it does not say they are the offspring of the sons of God and the daughters of men. It does say this about the offspring: “the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” These were not monstrosities; they were men. The record here makes it very clear that the giants were in the earth before this took place, and it simply means that these offspring were outstanding individuals.

Seems pretty clear to me. "Sons of God" is Bnai Elohim in the hebrew. The only other place in the Bible you find "sons of God" as "Bnai Elohim" is in the Book of Job
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan[2] also came among them. 7And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?"

That seems pretty clear. Only Jesus. No one else. What am I missing?
It would be helpful if you read the 1st 4 verses of 1 Timothy
1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men,
2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way.
3 This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
I don’t see where these verses exclude the idea of other people praying for us, whether in heaven or on earth. I would say our prayers become efficacious because of Christ's Mediatorship since we pray in his name.
Where in Scripture is it shown that Mary has a role beyond that of mother?
How about
“I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed; she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel." (Genisis 3:15)
Or
“Woman, behold thy son. After that, he saith to the disciple: Behold thy mother. And from that hour, the disciple took her to his own" (John 19:25-27).

I did not call you arrogant for reading the bible. I called you arrogant because you are criticizing a devotion because it does not line up with your interpretation of scripture. I supposed it never occurred to you that you could be wrong.
