Julie
The Spanish guy I mentioned earlier, he was from Puerto Rico(?), he was mad when a couple of exhippies my age came up and tried to give him some socilaist literature, they talked to him in Spanish he yelled at them in English, Michaelje might remember the conversation exactly, not a bad put down by one of the oppressed class.

Thanks for the excellent report, jon, and more importantly, thanks for the FReep!
Although the Itinerary for the demonstration said it would include a somber memorial to the thousands of people murdered Sept 11th, I noticed no reference to those poor souls.
Excellent point. In publicizing the march, they made much of their compassion for the dead. Don't make me puke. Dead Americans? They celebrate that! It's dead Muslims they can't stand. That must be in response to the great Muslim tradition of tolerance and of cherishing all human life ...

"Socialist Worker"
An oxymoron for sure.
To: Calpublican
I believe it's the newspaper of the International Socialist Organization. Some punks at Columbia during my last visit there in '98 had copies of it when they protested the Accuracy in Academia conference I attended, that got kicked off campus, and Dinesh D'Souza ended up speaking to us across the street in Morningside Park. Commie bastards...

Hey Bill It was great to finally meet someone protesting FOR war in Boston. All these one-man stands in Harvard Square had left me disheartened, until today. As I am a man of my word, I did check out the site and am cool with it. Let me know when and where is the next Pechuli rally and I'll be there. Maybe bring a little soap along.

A little soap? I've been reading this thread, and looking at the pics, and you need this, in 55 gallon drums:

You wondered what that guy does for a living. I'll bet he collects SSI.
To: ElectricStrawberry
Welcome to FR!
To: buickmackane
We really need to get some women to dress in the Taliban-issued full shroud to march in the parades. I would love to see how the hippies reconcile it.
To: jonatron
Thanks for the great report! Those MA liberals are a scary bunch, yeeeesh. The NPR reporter could sure use a clue.
To: Little Bill
Good job!
For a little perspective when it seems the world is full of nuts:
World Almanac-2000 US Census #s
Boston -589,141. Over 586,000 Boston residents did not protest. For every 1 protestor, there are ~300 non-protestors, therefore, the non-protestors should get 300 times more coverage in the media. The will of the people! (^:
