If you have a baby on the way, bought a new car or house, found out your kid aced his SAT, are having a good harvest, caught an excellent fish, or have some other happy news please post it. I am so depressed and sad for my country, and I don't know ANYONE in person who has had anything nice happen in the last month. Not one person.

Saturday night booze money!

Today I personally observed someone very happy. He was in a big grocery store walking around shopping and singing to the top of his lungs about how happy he was. Everyone in the grocery store knew he was happy. I imagine his singing caused a few giggles too.

Careful publicizing such news. You could offend the libs since you are looking after your own interest. Good for you. Lost my shirt

I heard Omar Mullah and relatives might have been killed by a missile hitting their Chevy Suburban today.
I don't want to cheer you up prematurely, so we will wait for confirmation.

LOLOLOL! I have one of those kind of grandkids, too! Today my 3 year old grandaughter tried to sell me her beanie babies for more than *I* paid for them...the little shyster! But, ohhhh, what a cutie!;o)

I'm happy that I live out in the sticks. I'm happy to be an American. I'm happy that I have a very close happy family and 4 grandkids.
My grandaughter is in the 2nd grade and is president of Student Council! My husband shot 2 birdies in golf today! We got our parish hall refinanced for 5.3% interest, that's going to save us thousands.

My kids do that too, sing in public. I've relaxed about it since if it bothers anyone, I never hear a complaint. Lately it's this song about the parable of the rich man who has a party and his neighbors are all too busy to come.
"I cannot come, I cannot come
I cannot come, I cannot come
I cannot come to the banquet, don't bother me now
I have married a wife, I have bought me a cow
I have fields and commitments, that cost a pretty sum,
Pray hold me excused--I cannot come.
But here lately when they sing it they sing "I have bought me a wife, I have married a cow" and it just cracks me up! I hope they don't sing it that way at school! (They go to a Lutheran school--fabulous. I hope I can keep them in it.)

The neatest thing about God being good all the time is when people realize it. It leads to so many other things in so many different directions. I hope everything goes will with your daughter and her music. Can't quote the scripture and too tired to look it up, but we are told a hymn is a prayer to the Lord. I sort of shudder about the converse of that thought.

How wonderful to find an alumnus! The Bush Stadium competitions are now held in the TWA Dome where the Rams play. This years will be on 10/27. This is my 7th year with the guard and I am very proud of my girls :)

Hmmm .. good news ?
Just got my CCNA recently
Got an extra 340.00 dollars in the mail the other day from my car company (I paid too much and they gave it back)
Got a new weapon and 1000+ rounds of ammo.
Completed a major project a week ahead of schedule.
Except for this antrax crap life's going pretty good and even the anthrax is not so bad if you compare it to deaths from driving, so I'm ok and really thank ful to God.

You must come to Tennessee. The trees are starting to change color and the hills and mountains are magnificent. It is impossible to be depressed with such beauty around you.

The Indians won today 17-2 against the Seattle mariners in Game 3 of the ALCS.

Played golf today and playing again tomorrow. Doesn't get any better than that.

I have four happy healthy daughters. The youngest of which brings me great joy.
Last week I was cleaning and had pulled out a sample piece of formica, hidden behind a sideboard.
"What is this?" she asked, fingering and looking at the 2'X 3' foot piece of formica.
"It's formica" I told her.
She cocked her head and asked "Who's Mica?"

I was trying to think of some spectacular thing that has happened to me since this thread was posted. I couldn't find anything spectacular, but I did come to realize that all my family returned home safely Friday and I had an opportunity to talk to my children and let them know that I love them. I even spoke with my mother whom I hadn't spoken to in weeks. All in all it's been well.
It is so easy to get caught up in the big, spectacular things and miss the real moments. Let's all stay ever vigilant.
