Today I personally observed someone very happy. He was in a big grocery store walking around shopping and singing to the top of his lungs about how happy he was. Everyone in the grocery store knew he was happy. I imagine his singing caused a few giggles too.

My kids do that too, sing in public. I've relaxed about it since if it bothers anyone, I never hear a complaint. Lately it's this song about the parable of the rich man who has a party and his neighbors are all too busy to come.

"I cannot come, I cannot come
I cannot come, I cannot come
I cannot come to the banquet, don't bother me now
I have married a wife, I have bought me a cow
I have fields and commitments, that cost a pretty sum,
Pray hold me excused--I cannot come.

But here lately when they sing it they sing "I have bought me a wife, I have married a cow" and it just cracks me up! I hope they don't sing it that way at school! (They go to a Lutheran school--fabulous. I hope I can keep them in it.)
