To Garguantua who says, "BOYCOTT ALL WISCONSIN CHEESE!!!" Hey, that's a cheap shot at patriotic Wisconsin farmers, who are having enough trouble surviving without a boycott of cheese. Those commies in Madison don't give a hoot about the dairy farmer anyway. They think all their food comes from the grocery store. Besides the people of Madison are protesting the action by their school board, which banned the pledge of allegience in Madison schools. 426 calls were taken the other day, 422 condemned the action. So, I suggest you find another, more inventive way of punishing those commies in Madison. Thank you very much

Totally agree, Aunt. Wisconsin farmers are good people. It's the idiots at the U of W that need the sanctions.

Agreed - this is embarrasing for the rest of us Wisconsinites. Everyone is lumping us in with those in Madison.
Anyone who lives in Wisconsin knows that the views of those who live in Madison are the exact opposite of the majority of people living elsewhere in the state.
P.S. On a much, much more unimportant point I'm still disgusted with the state budget the Democrats were trying to push through. Not to mention, as a smoker, the $1 a pack tax some were proposing was outrageous. Try to make up for a state deficit by a quickie 'sin' tax...

Click here for an editorial on the matter.
The School Board has already reversed itself.

My brother's barely hanging on to his farm. If those college people had to work one week on a farm (and another in the armed forces)they wouldn't be shooting off their mouths the way they do. In fact I think one day would do them in!

Roger that.
Wisconsin farmers should not suffer because of the actions of a small minority in the People's Republic of Madison.

I got a reply from Scott McCallum to an email I sent yesterday. He actually called them "
oddballs" who "place politics over patriotism". Not sure if I should post the entire text here, but suffice it to say he sounds like a true American. I gotta quote this though:
I know this spirit is strong, and I am looking forward to hear Wisconsin's resounding voices, in both our schools and in our places of work, as we lift our voices to recite the Pledge of Allegiance with our President and nation.
All of you who emailed the governor yesterday, check your inboxes. I'm sure you got the same letter.
