60 Minutes reported Sunday night that Iraq has a strain of smallpox.
Smallpox is a deadly and highly contagious virus.
Only two countries were believed to have strains of the virus, the U.S. and Russia.
60 Minutes' Mike Wallace reported this evening that Saddam Hussein acquired some of the smallpox virus from a laboratory in Russia.
Russian scientists have also been helping countries like Iraq and Iran developed biological weapons.

Unfortunately it has been a bit more than a "couple years". I don't know the exact number of years but my granddaughters ages 12 and 14 had their vacinations to start kindergarten..

Sounds like if we find this stuff, we need to release it back in Russia! Are they sure Russia did this? That means they aided terrorism.

"smallpox"
But, aren't we protected against this! I have heard several doctors lately saying most of America is vacinated against smallpox. If this is so, then what is the threat??

When I was a kid, I was vaccinated against smallpox.....Is this the same thing? Every article I read is silent on this question.

Much like a tetnus shot it must be boostered about every 10 yrs.
