Bookmarked, buddy. Bookmarked!

Re: your 26. Excellent analysis. I am constantly amazed by the expertise, experience and insights (as well as the abundance of immature, uneducated "commentary") posted on FR. Wong's review seems fair as well.

how many freepers also check out Lucianne on a daily basis? Not me. And why do you waste your time on Jonah Goldberg. He has yet to come up with an original idea, and his work is so amateurish that I doubt most college newspapers would bother to publish it.

This photo brought to mind the great American's on this Forum and the need for a "uniform" to show our pride...I think something similar to the jacket beret with Freeper colors/logo would be perfect for "walk-around" gear!!

In fact, I find it very frustrating to watch news on TV (well, except for Fox News Channel) due to the lack of real-time feedback and analysis that FR brings to the game. You've nailed it.
As an aside, my poor son gets to listen to me shred NPR's Morning Edition each day on the way to school -- he's getting pretty good at picking up biases and omissions in coverage himself!

why do you waste your time on Jonah Goldberg. I like his Star Trek articles.

Don't know if any "outsider" can really capture the mood of this place.
You gotta marinate for a while in it to understand the rush ;^)

Fair and balanced. This person took some time to do research and investigate the topic. Odd concepts for many "journalists".

many liberals appear to genuinely believe that much of the conservative movement is actively involved in a gigantic, worldwide plot of frightening proportions to deprive everyone except themselves of all that is good in life. The simple solution is for the libs to convert to conservatism and then they will not be deprived any longer.

No doubt. Bump.

Unlike Lucianne and Democratic Underground, FR management is surprisingly tolerant of "disrupters" who go against the forum's ideological bent, as long as they try to be "thoughtful" in their criticisms. If you are a liberal poster, though, expect to get nasty personal attacks as well as polite disagreement.
What I really like about this site. "Let a thousand flowers bloom".
This is even more remarkable given that the site is funded entirely by donations
Freedom isn't free....not neither is Freerepublic.
This shamelessly selfserving plug is brought to you by American Society of Steves.

I would rather get my news here than anywhere else. Its funny how slow TVnews seems to be now. Many times I see reports here days in advance of TV and with much more detail. Makes me feel like I have an edge. Thanks Jim!

Many times I see reports here days in advance of TV and with much more detail. You're right...FR usually beats Fox News by about 3 days, and NPR by about a week!

You've just put into words why I so often feel like throwing things at the tv set! And why I so frantically look for the Reply button when I venture out to on-line news sites.
Excellent commentary, Sir, on an excellent review of FR.
