In fact, I find it very frustrating to watch news on TV (well, except for Fox News Channel) due to the lack of real-time feedback and analysis that FR brings to the game.

You've nailed it.

As an aside, my poor son gets to listen to me shred NPR's Morning Edition each day on the way to school -- he's getting pretty good at picking up biases and omissions in coverage himself!

Don't know if any "outsider" can really capture the mood of this place.

I would rather get my news here than anywhere else. Its funny how slow TVnews seems to be now. Many times I see reports here days in advance of TV and with much more detail. Makes me feel like I have an edge. Thanks Jim!
