MTV promotes racism and threats of violence

Flipping over to MTV during another channel's commercial break, I happened upon one of the most sickening displays of racism on television I have ever seen. It was an abrasive music video, aired during "Hip-Hop Month" containing open racism toward ALL non-blacks as well as threatening remarks. A mid-thirties angry black woman named 'Sister Souljah' screamed out the following lyrics (completely uncensored by MTV) in the music video 'the Hate That Hate Produced' :

Souljah was not born to make white people feel comfortable
I am African first, I am Black first
I want what's good for me and my people first
And if my survival means your total destruction, then so be it
You built this wicked system
They say two wrongs don't make a right
But it damn sure makes things even
the Hate That Hate Produced

Needless to day, the airing of this music video certainly must violate MTV's anti-Discrimination policies. I am outraged that MTV would air this filth, especially since they have continously pushed for "anti-Racism" and "Tolerance" through on-air diversity campaigns, including one entitled 'Fight For Your Rights: Take a Stand Against Discrimination'. Even though the song by 'Sister Souljah' clearly discriminates against all non-blacks, and includes direct threats of violence upon white people, MTV deemed it appropriate for consumption by its multi-cultural teen-age audience, which is their core market.

I just thought I should point out some messages MTV is currently promoting. They certainly aren't taking "a stand against discrimination."

Those lyrics also seem to be anti-american.
How ironic for someone to enjoy the pleasures of our country and then condemn it.
And even worse, make a profit off doing it.
If they are willing to turn on their own country, they'd probably see nothing wrong with stealing from their family either.

As a American who also just happens to be of mixed-race background, I'm particularly distressed by the need of such people to lump anybody who doesn't look, talk and act like them into the "white" category. Because I don't look like Sister Souldjah, she thinks that I have no claim to an African-American heritage. It's all based on looks and possessions; nothing about the "heritage" she claims has ANYTHING to do with her hard-working, spiritual, patriotic, family-oriented ancestors. She's pandering an image that a she and her generation created, and she wants to cut out any one that don't "fit the mold".

My Great-Grandfather was a root doctor that taught healing and literacy; my Grandfather (considered to be "white") faced down the KKK in the rural South. They were the product of the best that the Native American, African American, and European American cultures could offer - the hope for freedom, and the triumph of the spirit.

Sister Souljah is a lie, and she deserves to be exposed for what she is. Her manufactured "heritage" is destruction, salaciousness, and violence, for sale to the highest bidder; that is NOT the true heritage of any American.

Ummm...'Sister Souljah' was the one who was caught in the middle of the Bill Clinton/Jesse Jackson argument over her during his 1992 campaign. Shes back or is this story REALLLLLYYY old? I dont see a link nor a date, just some ramblings, why is this in the NEWS section?

It all started with the make love not war mantra. Promiscuity and gayness is all about physical preferences like skin color and sexual orientations. We have been taught how to appreciate certain forms of appealing racism.

It is an education to watch MTV. I suggest everyone tune in on the weekends for about 15 min. Take your blood pressure meds first.

This channel is part of the 'Basic Pkg' in most cable co.'s. It should be a 'premium' channel that has to be ordered and paid for as an exta.
Kids, teenagers, young adults spend major time watching it and the trash on MTV must be seen to be believed.

Re: Your #4: Agreed. Such as this................person................need to be shunned. The First Amendment gives her the right to spew her garbage, unfortunately, but that doesn't mean that the black community needs to buy it, either. They should boycott her "product" (and make no mistake; that's EXACTLY what this is: a "product"; an act; total "image".....because it plays to the lowest common denominator and sells).

As for MTV, pure trash. It's not allowed on the TV's in my home, and I have a passle of teenagers. 'Sides, they hate it, too.

Once Western man realizes these people exist solely at our sufferance it will end. Besides the conduct of these creatures is for fun and profit as these lyrics appeal to the decadent.

Listening to it does indeed raise my blood pressure. Many of the black MTV "elite" such as DR Dre financially support Nation of Islam's very own Louis Farahkan. They spout garbage about whites being the devil, killing whites etc.-pure hate! It is extreme racism being preached subliminally and overtly to an impressionable audience. I have no doubt that it incites violence. I should think that something could be done about it. None of us would tolerate anti-black indoctrination like this. Why do we tolerate it against whites? Any lawyers out there with any ideas?
