WASHINGTON, Oct 3 (Reuters) - The crash of a Greyhound bus in Tennessee on Wednesday appears to have been a "random" event unrelated to last month's terror attacks on the United States, the Transportation Department said.
The department believes "it was a random incident not related to the September 11 terrorist attacks," said Dave Longo, a spokesperson for the Federal Motorcarrier Administration, a division of the Transportation Department.
But he said there were conflicting reports "and we are waiting for more details to come in from the field."
Greyhound Lines suspended bus services across the United States after at least three people were killed in a crash that television reports attributed to a passenger attack on the bus driver.

Don't get too wrapped up in the Croatian I.D. card. The area is full of Muslim fanatics in Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Bosnia. KLA would do something like this in a heartbeat.
Pericles, can you link to the stories about Bin Laden recruiting in Kosovo, Albania etc.

He kept asking "what time is it"?
So maybe he just wanted to know when he should take his next medication?
BTW, a trained terrorist would have had a watch on him...probably a Rolex. Just my 2 cents.

Mr. Slitter did NOT ask the bus driver for the time of day. He asked a female passenger seated in the front of the bus for the time. Then, he asked for her to give him her seat. She refused. He then did an "atta."

The driver is reported alive. Thank God.
I'm glad he/she is ok.
Now,on to a comment, (which I do a lot), maybe we can get his/her side of the story to decide whether this was just a little thing.
I suppose there would be a few Islamic crazies still around, but a bus is a small target for these mutants.

He holds a Croatian identity card FYI, a lot of KLA have Croat citizenship. for example....the head of the KLA Agim Ceku holds a Croatian passport........in addition some of the Bosnian Mujahdeen may have also gotten Croat papers.

Thanks for the clarification.
Nevertheless, the time check would be cause for alarm for Greyhound one would think.

It was just a random event. At a clothing store a couple of blocks from my house, the manager took down his normal window display a few days ago and put in the window a big American flag and some uniforms. A couple of nights later, someone threw some bricks through the giant window.
The manager tells me that police told him "there is no reason to think the vandalism was related to the flag."
We live in a Matlock world.

Lots of things besides guns make a convenient weapon when necessary. I keep a Louisville slugger propped up against the wall by kitchen door. I keep a long "awl" with a nice easy-grip handle stuffed between my front bucket seat and the middle arm rest.

Fox News just confirmed Justice Dept. sources say attacker had a Croatian passport/ID but don't think attack was related to terrorist activities. Right.

Come to think of it, a few years ago, I had a bad cold I couldn't shake and started taking Contact time-release capsules. For about a week, I would wake up spontaneously every night at 4:13 a.m. Then, I would put my tinfoil hat on and go back to sleep. Weird.

They've just confirmed 10 dead on our local Nashville TV station. Driver is alive in stable condition. Perp had Croation ID and is also alive.

Someone (Eniapmot) posts a link showing a suspected Bin Laden Terrorist with a Croatian Passport. The suspect here had Croatian papers. His M.O. was exactly the same as the WTC terrorists (except he used a Bus instead of an Airliner, as if they'd be stupid enough to try the same vehicle twice) and all you can think to do is call it tinfoil hat. You ought to be asking the questions that our press don't have the guts or incentive to ask.
