Sullivan misidentifies Deutch--he was Director of the CIA for part of the Clinton years, but never Secretary of Defense. True. Deutch was, however, Deputy Secretary of Defense before moving on to the CIA.

'The narcissistic, feckless, escapist culture of an America absent without leave in the world was fomented from the top.'
The first felon and his family were too busy being world travelers on the tax payers dollar.
I'm wondering how long he will keep inflicting his gruesome face and nose in our faces when the truth about him comes out.

The "peace-making" in the Middle East and Ireland merely intensified the conflictsSullivan really capsulizes things so well.
Clinton looks worse and worse as time goes on. Narcisstic , indeed.

BRAVO to Sullivan for speaking out about Clinton's 'soft on terrorism' failure to protect Americans!
Will Americans ever get angry that he was more interested in internal affairs with interns than the threats to our national security!
Character does & did matter!

The most important idea, that really will NEVER be discussed, is that politicians are RARELY held responsible for their criminal ignorance. This is the natural result of gigantic government, and the left wants more?
I just hate the left, so full of frigging IDIOTS like Leaky Leahy.

Pay now, or pay later. This adage holds true again.

Well, people have the right to protest. Just argue with them, ignore them. It's pretty obvious that people who are the absolute peaceniks have an ideology that precludes any rational, serious discussion of the issues. They'll sink themselves over time. No real need to see them or get worked up over them.
Just my opinion.

He restrains himself. He does not overstate. He gains credibility as a composed and intelligent manAgreed. His "balance" makes him virtually unique among pundits( his "gay" writing notwithstanding).
To: Kevin Curry
Andy's taking a breather from his real interest--gay activism--to suck up to the Clinton critics. Having charmed a few more, he'll be back to sign them up as allies in the gay-lesbian wars. Another citizen who doesn't understand WTC-911 checks in.

If the United States does not hold Bill Clinton, along with any other public officials, responsible for their actions and negligence in exposing the U.S. public to this kind of attack, then ANY military response by the Bush administration will be both inconsequential and inadequate. I agree.

The SOB was duly elected. Twice. Meaning that the electorate was even more negligent ... That was the implication, between the lines, of what I was saying.
In other words, the guy living next door to you is more of an "enemy" to you than Osama bin Laden is.

Oooh! Very nice article!
One the comments that interested me was the revelation that Reuel Marc Gerecht wrote, "Know Thine Enemy: A Spy's Journey into Revolutionary Iran." I read the book a few weeks ago. And it is good. I'm definitely going to check out his article in the "Atlantic Monthly."

I hope I live long enough to see clinton indicted for TREASON. My sentiments exactly. Good for Andrew - great article. I intend to send it out to all newsprint, TV and Congress. They need to see it too.

I have stated before that he is one of the best writers of our time. That he and I disagree at times doesn't change that an iota.

This is precisely the reason America must maintain our sovereignty, we need no permission nor do we need approval from sham organizations like the UN. Bush's hands were tied in 93, I dont think dubya is gonna make the same mistake, hence the use of the word coalition(s).

I have stated before that he is one of the best writers of our time. You really should broaden your literary horizons.

Well, people have the right to protest. Just argue with them, ignore them.If it were only that simple. People really have to wake up. These are AFSCME, NEA, NTEU and some AFL-CIO people. We are paying them to protest. Our taxes are funding them. If that is not bad enough, they have non-profits out the you know what funding the bills.
These are not you and me. These are not working people. These are those who want to tear our country down. Bush and Aschoft don't go after them, I'm done. I give up. Let them have America.

If and when I want advice from you, I'll beat it out of ya. :-}

Clinton was much too busy not having sex with various women to worry about a subject so mundane as terrorism.
Perhaps he would now just have the WTC and Pentagon survivors "put some ice on that".
(As any self-absorbed piece of equine excrement would do.)
