What a night of disasters for TV

The first 30 minutes of the "heros" special was so bad, the acts so lame, no hits, no nothing......what a wasted opportunity.......

I couldn't take it any longer......

It seems that if the studio ain't in Nashville, the sound will be crap.......

The stars, on phones through the hour I could stand with no sound on, were never spoken to, and they were the only points of interest I could find.....all these stars and we're watching a bunch of absolutely mediocre performances by past icons who weren't even smart enought to play their hits......

I knew it was going to be a bust when Springstein DIDN'T play the only appropriate song he has, Born In the USA, and instead sang some nonesense about rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up and maybe another word or two.......

Hollywood, or whoever is going to take the fall for this absolute failure, should, IMHO get out of the business.

That's probably what it's like for the so-called 'talent'. You know they all hate Bush, and they're probably having trouble working up any enthusiasm at all.

I hate to be so cynical, but they are probably only doing this to make themselves look good. I'm with Bill O'Reilly. He said if people like Paul Newman and Susan Serandon do something, he tends to believe their sincerity because they do stuff all the time for their 'causes' (misguided though they may be). When these yahoos get together, it has to be because they know 85% of the people support the President and they had better get on board.

Check out another thread on this subject "Why are Movie Stars...." - My husband flipped over to it a couple times during FOX News breaks - from the little we've seen, it's getting progressively worse. They must be aiming this toward the younger people who never watch the news and do all the "peace" rallies.
