***Pathetic TV Show, Mediocre "Stars", Our Heros Deserve Better***

And Liza with a z sounds drunk.....
What a night of disasters for TV
The first 30 minutes of the "heros" special was so bad, the acts so lame, no hits, no nothing......what a wasted opportunity.......
I couldn't take it any longer......
It seems that if the studio ain't in Nashville, the sound will be crap.......
The stars, on phones through the hour I could stand with no sound on, were never spoken to, and they were the only points of interest I could find.....all these stars and we're watching a bunch of absolutely mediocre performances by past icons who weren't even smart enought to play their hits......
I knew it was going to be a bust when Springstein DIDN'T play the only appropriate song he has, Born In the USA, and instead sang some nonesense about rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up and maybe another word or two.......
Hollywood, or whoever is going to take the fall for this absolute failure, should, IMHO get out of the business.

I'm kind of surprised we haven't heard 'all we are saying, is give peace a chance' yet. Oh well, enough surfing. Back to my tapes of Band of Brothers.

Thankfully, I moved this week and still don't have a cable connection, so I can't see the show.
I have it on the radio, it still sounds like crap.

I last until JFK was brought up and am now watching a High School football game on a local cable channel. We played last night or I would have been at a game. I kept thinking it would get better but it didn't -- it got worse!

Why is it I can't find it here in Arizona, on any channel?

Scr** em, I have clicked past it on my way to the history channel and silver minds.
What a bunch of liberal droggel and pablum.
If they really wanted to help they would donate 10 % of their holdings, to the widows and orphans.
Instead like a good bunch of liberals they lecture us, much as world aid.
Only thing we are missing is that drummer from gensis flying from the Uk to the US.
Money that actually ended up in aid from that little exercise was 2%.

The United Way takes way too much money for expenses not to mention their stand on the Boy Scouts in some areas! Couldn't agree more with donating to another charity of your choice!

I agree....remember those great specials Bob Hope used to do....everyone in the country could watch them

How right you are about Hollywood types.....we know what they are all about, and just who they admire, less we forget the Democratic Convention?? These people are the types who want to show themselves as being wonderful Americans unselfish to the end and what do they gain"? You bet, a ton of free publicity!! How I love honesty!!

I, for one, am not buying this "we care" crap from them at all. Tonight's "show" is just damage control for a crowd that knows full-well that their trash is finally being seen for what it is.
What a perfect summation of the situation! I was flipping through channels trying to avoid it, but it was so bad I couldn't help but watch for 5 minutes. These left-wing idiots should be embarrased to climb out from under their rocks now. Where is Streisand and 'Has everyone lost their f&*#@-ing minds' Cher? We'd be in great shape now if their boy Gore and his motley crew were at the helm. Absolutley pathetic.

Tom Cruise said some nice things about the Catholic priest just now. Other than that, it's pretty lame.

well, I disagree. This cabal of Hollywood elitists, as foul as they may be much of the time, have done good. They're targeting the 90% of the brain-dead, remote-control flipping couch potatoes who live off of Jerry Springer and internet porn. If they can get these scratchy arses to pick up the phone and contribute to the cause, then I say GO FOR IT.
Once this is over (it may be a while), they'll go back to their open hatred of all things conservative, but for now let 'em do their duty. It might be the only time you'll see it happen.
To: Rocko
you called it......how can they make a show this bad....no flags, no nothing.....the Met game was better....
To: The Wizard
I'm trying to pick through the sentence fragments. First what was the show called? Second, do you have some references? Third, what the hell are you talking about? What is this incoherent nonsense?!
