***Pathetic TV Show, Mediocre "Stars", Our Heros Deserve Better***
Stardate: 0109.21

And Liza with a z sounds drunk.....

What a night of disasters for TV

The first 30 minutes of the "heros" special was so bad, the acts so lame, no hits, no nothing......what a wasted opportunity.......

I couldn't take it any longer......

It seems that if the studio ain't in Nashville, the sound will be crap.......

The stars, on phones through the hour I could stand with no sound on, were never spoken to, and they were the only points of interest I could find.....all these stars and we're watching a bunch of absolutely mediocre performances by past icons who weren't even smart enought to play their hits......

I knew it was going to be a bust when Springstein DIDN'T play the only appropriate song he has, Born In the USA, and instead sang some nonesense about rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up and maybe another word or two.......

Hollywood, or whoever is going to take the fall for this absolute failure, should, IMHO get out of the business.

Give 'em some slack. They are trying to do some good. And they undoubtedly will.

Jeez, people, let's try to get along a little better, huh? You might be surprised where the true patriots come from.

I liked that Tom Petty performed "I Won't Back Down." Sends a good message.

Fox News is still broadcasting, as is the Food Newtwork, Nick at Nite, LKL, and MSNBC. This is just a preliminary scan.

Thank you. I agree.... and frankly, I think the show is pretty damn good. Loved Stevie Wonder... will definitely buy the CD when it comes out.

Agreed. Big letdown. Just posted the following on another thread.

The set decoration is outrageously inappropriate given the patriotic mood in the country right now. Dark and nearly barren save for hundreds of candles, with virtually no overt displays of the symbols of American patriotism. It looks more like the set for a Yanni or Kenny G. video or a New Age bookstore than the backdrop for a tribute to American heroes in a time of war. Very, very disappointing.

Hollywood's PC Patriotism run amok. It's flag-waving without the flag.

The vast majority of Hollyweed types have never, and will never be patriotic, nor will they ever really give a crap about America. Most are spoiled little snot-nosed brats, who support anti-American groups and causes.

They hate the flag, but love the fag, and never seem to miss an opportunity to ridicule and spit on normal Americana.

I, for one, am not buying this "we care" crap from them at all. Tonight's "show" is just damage control for a crowd that knows full-well that their trash is finally being seen for what it is.

(posted from another thread just to see if any New Butt Order (NBO) disruptors are lurking here too)

I'm glad the commies finally figured out what team they're on for once.

But I'm sorry Neil Young and Tom Petty are musical terrorism,

blech.

Uh... a tad cynical, aren't we Bob. I disagree. I think these are people, who underneath it all, love their country (even though they may support causes you don't believe in), and are willing to stand up to help the heroes of the WTC.

Only the Beatles reunion (including John) would do it right.

Of course, it wouldn't be complete without John Lennon's "imagine". I was surprised it wasn't the first song.
