What a night of disasters for TV

The first 30 minutes of the "heros" special was so bad, the acts so lame, no hits, no nothing......what a wasted opportunity.......

I couldn't take it any longer......

It seems that if the studio ain't in Nashville, the sound will be crap.......

The stars, on phones through the hour I could stand with no sound on, were never spoken to, and they were the only points of interest I could find.....all these stars and we're watching a bunch of absolutely mediocre performances by past icons who weren't even smart enought to play their hits......

I knew it was going to be a bust when Springstein DIDN'T play the only appropriate song he has, Born In the USA, and instead sang some nonesense about rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up and maybe another word or two.......

Hollywood, or whoever is going to take the fall for this absolute failure, should, IMHO get out of the business.

I didn't watch the whole thing but there was a very brief photo mantage where Bush was shown on top of the rubble pile with the bull horn.

Thanks for being our eyes and ears. I purposely did not tune in because I wasn't sure I could stomach it. Most of these hollywood leftists are frauds. I hope everyone remembers they are actors before being impressed with their sudden devotion to America.

Here's my take.....for what it's worth.
Billy Joel was real good.
Willie Nelson struggled through the words of America the Beautiful.....and plainly heard was a 'prompter' giving out the words of the song......line by line.......to the entire gang of dummies, who probably never heard of the song before tonight!

But I give them credit for their effort and feel they mean well.

Good point. The United Way is opposed to the Constitution because they wish to deny the Boy Scouts the right to freedom of association. They want to force the Boy Scouts to accept homosexual Scoutmasters. Bypass the totalitarians ... and give directly to an organization you trust to do good with your hard-earned dollars.
