Most of you here won't remember, but what we need is a good old Kate Smith, singing God Bless America. Nobody sang it better.

On a serious note, is it me or is Tom Petty sounding more and more like Bob Dylan?

It's not just you. Slap a curly brown wig on him and you wouldn't know who was who.

Rosie O donated a million with a stipulation that is for NY victims only (not Pentagon vics)

You've GOT to be kidding me? Why...because people in the Pentagon believe in guns? She makes me physically ill.

A video of Muslim kids telling us that they aren't terrorists. Now Will Smith with Mohammad Ali, who, bless is heart, doesn't look well. Ali is telling is that Muslims are not terrorists.

Just as I suspected. This entire show is going to be all about how "muslim-Americans" have been adversly effected by all this.

To: Hillary's Lovely Legs, uvular
I heard the first few off-key groans emanating from Springsteen and thought for a minute it was Bob Dylan. Then I turned the TV off (although the kitchen design show was on HGTV, so there actually was something to watch). Hey, I lasted five seconds longer than I thought I could.

uvular - I've been wondering since this started where all the donations were going. It never was established that there was a specific need for the money, just the vague indication it was "for the families," somehow. Which families? For what? How much? I wish the ARC, Salvation Army and United Way had been specific about what they were doing in this instance and what it was costing.

Personally, I'd like to see some of the money go toward the war effort. Couldn't the Red Cross and United Way turn some of the money over for a few missiles?

Will Smith, of course, has the Ali biopic coming out soon. He could write this night off his taxes.

Does she still advertise for Kame-apart? Does Kame-apart still sell rifles? If so, don't you see a conflict here?

I won't watch either. Are there really no participants wearing flags? That's totally amazing.

Excellent observation!! I would love to see American flags. Not a single one. Not a ribbon. Everything is black. The walls, the clothes, everything is black except for white candles.

Jim Carrey telling us about firemen who ran into the building. Jim, a Canadian, gave one million.

Now from New York.........Julio Inglese's son.

To be honest, the candles all look like Christmas Trees. This could be a Christmas concert. I really would like more patriotic stuff, but that's just me. How about a little LeAnne Rhimes singing God Bless America, or Garth Brooks singing something, ANYTHING.

Really? They should have told her to stuff her stipulation where the sun don't shine.

On the radio (only get AM in this fortress) they said Julia Roberts donated $2 million. I wish they would be more specific as to where this money is going.
