Well, if Cameron was Hawaiian or Japanese, the white would be correct for mourning.

I wish all people would 'steal' the ribbon. I own nothing here. I am here to share.

Robin Williams talking about heroes. All in black, gee, that's a shock.

New musical act is Limp Bizkit and Bon Jovi singing Pink Floyd's song that I can't name at the moment, I think it's " Wish You Were Here".

It's well done, but Limp Bizkit incited riots at Woodstock 3 years ago. I also might mention these men need a bath, and they need it NOW.

Neil Young is now singing the excreble "Imagine". These are a bunch of weenies whining about how they are so crushed by the lack of "peace in the world." Oh boo-hoo, poor celebrities, what a downer. There's no patriotism so far, no ribbons, flags, mention of Bush or our military or rallying behind them. This show is not inspiring-It's like a giant wake. No display of hope, just a giant self-pity party. Where's Charlton Heston when you need him?

Well, it's just another brick in the wall....

I KNEW I was right to only read the commentary. It is much easier on my nerves.

Random thoughts on watching the telethon: They pulled this off in just a couple of days, so you won't see big musical numbers tonight. Just music that vaguely promotes peace on earth like the currently playing "Imagine". No egos on display, though they still peek through sort of like a booger on a tux. despite their best efforts. These are real people, but as foreign to most of us as the Islamists. And like the Islamists, they have found a way to exploit the system for their own gain. Unlike the Islamists they have found a way to use their talent for "good". Remember that because of all the single parents who were murdered in the WTC, New York is filled with orphans tonight. Hopefully some of this cash will go to them. You can't raise enough money. This war isn't over. Those who think we have raised more than we can use are greatly underestimating the threat to our way of life. These entertainers aren't cast in the mold of the Jimmy Stewarts of old. But they are our lot. Their job now is to raise morale. The troops (us) can't fight without it. We need everyone using all of their gifts to bring us back. Cut 'em some slack. They aren't traitors. They're children. And like children, they lack the seriousness of purpose necessary to understand matters of import. Also like children, they know when we're in trouble. And we're in trouble.

Don't you understand? The American flag is a symbol of oppression and hate...really, it truly is.

You can't conquer hate with more hate and kill innocent victims...

Wait, I was thinking like a brain dead liberal with goatee and sandals, sorry...whew. There's got to be some drugs for that...I'm scared.

Well I'm just trying to figure out what alien group kidnapped Billy Joel. He's ok, I guess. He is a New Yorker so he's gotta be pretty torn up.

One of our local talk radio hosts, Joe Soucheray, (from St. Paul/Mpls), has been playing the Kate Smith version of God Bless America, along with the Ray Charles version of America the Beautiful every day. I turn the radio up LOUD, roll down the windows and sing along. Makes the nose tingle and the eyes tear, but it sure feels good!

Niel Young is conservative, believe it or not. He lives in Hillsborough, California, which is south of San Francisco. He also bought the Lionel Train company in Michigan so the people wouldn't lose their jobs. He is an odd duck, but a good guy.

Billy Joel singing " New York State of Mind". Doing a great job, he has something on his lapel, a pin or something. He also has a black fireman's hat on the piano. Bless the Heroes. Billy IS a REAL NEW YORKER. ( and bald)

No display of hope, just a giant self-pity party.

But tomorrow they'll feel so good about themselves. And that's what counts.
