Afghani is a monetary denomination. Afghan is a person.

An afghan is also a rug.

Which seems appropriate since we're setting up to walk all over them.

Ridiculous, everyone knows that it is the 101st Airborne that eats its victims slowly while they are still alive; the 82nd puts the enemy's heads on pikes and dances naked around the campfire. Iraqis would believe anything, they were so gullible. The Afghans may be harder to fool. We should circulate the story that the Blackhawks' secret weapon is that it drops a marble out the rear hatch, followed by a brick--so, don't look up. Blackhawks are very quiet.

US Special Forces will be conducting Psychological Operations using even less humane methods--they are going to rig up a spy satellite to broadcast Hillary Clinton and Al Gore giving speeches 24/7 until every last terrorist surrenders.

Lastly, Pres. Bush will send a special envoy of Gary Condit, Bill Clinton and Bob Packwood to ensure that the enemy's women will be properly cared for.

Sounds like disinformation to me. So far, at least from what I've read, none of the bordering countries have agreed to host our troops. So either this story is a lie, or those stories are lies. Keep them guessing, a very important part of war, especially a special op's war like this one.

???

What military source were they using? Some typist admin poag?

"The Special Operations teams have been told to capture or kill bin Laden or, if that is not possible, pin him down in an area until U.S. air strikes can be launched, the officials add."

I understand the stories of A-Teams in Iraq that were able to hold off hundreds of Iraqi soldiers who were assaulting their positions in relatively flat terrain but that doesnt affect the fact that no Special Force team is gonna be given orders to engage the hundreds of men that will obviously be protecting him in a firefight and told to "pin down" Bin Laden and wait for an airstrike.

They dont have the firepower for that sort of scenario unless planes are gonna be on station 10 miles out waiting to launch missiles or drop bombs and helos on station for egress.

Maybe it is just a matter of context but I grow tired of reporters who dont know how to explain a process.

I dont like the fact that they reported that anyway.

Idiots.
