Hockey fans at Philadelphia's Rangers-Flyers game Thursday night were so enthralled with President Bush's speech that they actually forced the cancellation of the game's third period to continue watching on the arena's Jumbotron.
But seated in the House chamber, New York Senator Hillary Clinton was rolling her eyes, looking bored and remained seated as her colleagues gave Bush one standing ovation after another.
Friday morning her disengaged demeanor was being roundly panned by talk radio hosts everywhere.
"You know why she reacted that way," WABC's Curtis Sliwa told his partner Ron Kuby."She just saw her hopes to run for president next time around go up in smoke."
Down radio dial in New York, nationally syndicated talker Don Imus was even harder on the former first lady.
"She was disgraceful," Imus told his partner Charles McCord. "She looked irritable, rolling her eyes and talking."
Imus didn't care much for Sen. Clinton's post speech comments either. "I mean, she was going out of her way to point out how she'd spent the entire week down at ground zero, which is not true, by the way. But I think we know what that's all about."
Imus then turned his ire towards Mrs. Clinton's husband. "I just thank God that he's not still the president, that's all, because we didn't have to endure the self aggrandizing display of lip-biting and head wagging and 'I love you' to some bimbo in the balcony."
And I don't care how many positive adjectives you heap on women who agree with your opinion, you're still wrong. They aren't good, upstanding, intelligent, secure or conservative. They're stupid. Any woman who would give up her right to vote is an idiot, and anyone who wishes to take a constitutional right from any group of people is an enemy of every true American. I don't even believe you know any, I think that's a lie, too, just to get more insecure neanderthals on board with you.
The polls open in NY in 5 minutes and I'll be thinking of you and bin laden when I pull the levers this morning. Thanks for the reminder.
Is she made out of wood? Clearly we see she should either burn or float. Can't we have both? Burning out her political chances as she floats away from any camera photo-op...

Looked in the mirror, lately?
Wow. You don't even know them.
My, my, your hatred is clouding your comprehension. These good women DO vote with their husbands. They just know that many of our problems can be traced to the women's movement in general, and the 19th Amendment in particular. Thanks to the gender gap, we had 8 years of Bill Clinton and nearly got 4 more with Algore. Woman is deceived.
It wasn't a Constitutional right until a bunch of self-serving, traitorous, spineless politicians fell all over each other whiile trying to be the best at pandering to a new, HUGE special-interest group.
Believe what you want. I know plenty, and there are millions of them living in happy homes with loving husbands and beautiful children. You?
It seems Achille's reply #298 to you was not only brilliant, but is proving to be the proper way to deal with your militant hatred: "You're sweet, and I love ya. But this is man's business, not woman's. You're going to have to trust us. And if you don't, then SHUT UP."
I can hear her voice and it is making me think of Rush's parody of the femanists song "were here, we're fierce, and we're in your faaaaaace". Meanwhile the men who know how best to handle such women are simply laughing their butts off.
Do you believe the Bible is, in its entirety, the true Word of the living God?
Of course, it wouldn't be a problem if only Christian women could vote. Lord willing, we could have skipped 8 years of Clinton.
I know that there are some kiddies that like to pretend that they are really "hardcore" by trying to go so far beyond even the Buchananites and spout something really stupid, but this really does not help our causes.
Simply by making a statement that you believe that women should not be allowed to vote is bad enough, but to try and follow it up with a two-bit attempt to justify this tripe with the bible is absolutely ridiculous.
We've just watched two weeks ago what the extreme result is from individuals who try to redefine the word of God to implement their own political agenda. The Taliban, Osama Bin Laden, and all their minions choose to misuse the Koran to convince people that Allah wants them to kill everyone who does not accept and live by their own misintrepretation of Islamic Law.
We see what that culture has done to women, justifying their atrocities without any logical argument other than an angry claim that God wants us to treat women this way.
People like that are not interested in God's truth, they are only interested in personal power. And anyone who tries to convince themselves or others that women should not have the same rights and liberties as men are doing so out of personal ignorance and a drive for personal power.
Expressions of bigotry are beneath anyone who claims to support liberty.
Not at all.
two-bit attempt to justify this tripe with the bible is ridiculous [...] redefine the word of God
How dare you.
Read it sometime. Then, get back to me. Buh-bye now.
She is aware that this man is what he appears to be!
Thank God for this administration!
Clinton/Gore has now found the controling legal authority
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!! Nice conclusion.....I was wondering if those two ever knew a controlling authority (that they could not subvert, pervert or undermine)....LOL! Glad they have been introduced to one...hehe ;^)
