Hillary Panned for Sour Demeanor during Bush Speech

Hockey fans at Philadelphia's Rangers-Flyers game Thursday night were so enthralled with President Bush's speech that they actually forced the cancellation of the game's third period to continue watching on the arena's Jumbotron.

But seated in the House chamber, New York Senator Hillary Clinton was rolling her eyes, looking bored and remained seated as her colleagues gave Bush one standing ovation after another.

Friday morning her disengaged demeanor was being roundly panned by talk radio hosts everywhere.

"You know why she reacted that way," WABC's Curtis Sliwa told his partner Ron Kuby."She just saw her hopes to run for president next time around go up in smoke."

Down radio dial in New York, nationally syndicated talker Don Imus was even harder on the former first lady.

"She was disgraceful," Imus told his partner Charles McCord. "She looked irritable, rolling her eyes and talking."

Imus didn't care much for Sen. Clinton's post speech comments either. "I mean, she was going out of her way to point out how she'd spent the entire week down at ground zero, which is not true, by the way. But I think we know what that's all about."

Imus then turned his ire towards Mrs. Clinton's husband. "I just thank God that he's not still the president, that's all, because we didn't have to endure the self aggrandizing display of lip-biting and head wagging and 'I love you' to some bimbo in the balcony."

Schumer is supporting the President at this time because it is good politics for him to support the President at this time... But HILLARY! does have Presidential ambitions.... I think her disdain was calculated and intentional.

Your whole post sounds about right to me.

if she runs in 2004, women voters will put her in the white house, and there is nothing we men can do about it. Could spell the end of our Republic!!

BELIEVE ME, I AM ONE WOMAN WHO WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR HER! AND I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW ANY WHO WOULD AT THIS POINT!! ICHHHHH......She creeps me out.

No lie! If she had an ounce of sense she'd have been acting her brains out last night -no matter HOW she felt. She's just too arogant and in love with herself to even know how ignorant she looked.

You never know. It could happen sooner than we think. New Yorkers could decide to do something about her appalling representation of ground zero while Guiliani was superb in his actions.

My wife thought she was on drugs or was drunk. Her eyes were glazed and she certainly acted bored, distracted and did not appear to be listening. Could she have braced herself for the "ordeal" with several drinks beforehand?

As for wondering if New Yorkers would vote for her again, that answer is easy. The welfare roll residents of the City and the wealthy suburbanites would not hesitate to vote for the witch again. They have learned nothing at all from this lesson.

Pharm, thanks! I read that thread, and know that there was a call for JR to look into their accounts, see if he could contact them, etc.

Looks like nothing else has been added. I'll pray for the best.

I've only read about half this thread, but I just thought I'd report to you all that the official line (at least from ABC radio) is that Her Lowness is "exhausted" from mingling with all the peasants on the front lines this week. She's done so much for them, dontcha know.

I heard the ABC radio guy - forget his name - spew this out to Larry Elder on his show a couple of hours ago when Larry brought up her apparent disinterest with the President's speech last night.

Damage control is up and running, apparently.

Imus said this morning that she was digraceful and she would probably say she was exhausted from "being at Ground Zero" but that everyone knew that was a lie. She's plain ol' evil, she is.

The video of Ms. Crinton's demeanor should be saved and used during the next election cycle the bleeptch is involved in.

The talk shows here in Milwaukee and Chicago were all over her too! I hope her reaction is replayed over and over to the American people but probably only FOX would have the guts to do it.

Yes, Hitlery will NEVER get questioned by the "mainstream" press for two reasons:
1. She never goes on news talk shows: Meet The Press, Face The Nation, etc.
2. If she DID go on, Tim Russert might ask her ONE time about her bad attitude as a token "tough" question, then continue to fawn over her.

The first words out of my mouth as President Bush entered the chambers to speak were "Only in your dreams, Clinton [x42], Only in your dreams."

I think Hillary was definitely upset about the standing ovation that Bush received as he entered the room and, according to FoxNews Channel, 30 or 31 interruptions of thunderous applause-sometimes with those members of the House and Senate standing in agreement and support of President Bush.

Hillary knows she will never have that much loyalty or respect given to her.

And all I can say is "Thank You, God, for President George W. Bush!

PS. I tried to post this message on the thread this morning--sour demeanor, I think was the title--but my post got knocked off when someone else posted at the same time.

I saw Breyer, but I didn't see Souter or Ginsburg. Isn't one of them always "on-call" or something?

The 19th Amendment was the beginning of the end. Most sensible (i.e. conservative) women agree!

I hate this crap and you should apologize. You sound like an idiot. The mere fact that you would even write it discounts your own sensibility. Maybe men should not vote; after all, bin laden, clinton, hitler--all these evil people are men.

Get a new head and stop hoisting your blanket falsehoods on women. We're supposed to stick together. I hate when this crap pops up on FR.

First, we should repeal the 19th Amendment, then get men to the poles. Maybe we can clean up this slimy mess.

And you're another one. Shut up! Why do you want to take away my rights? If you're trying to be cute and clever, you failed.

Why don't you turn in your guns? After all don't some men do bad things with them. Therefore, shouldn't YOU have to turn yours in? And by the way, it's p-o-l-l-s.

She'll get her spin machine working on this and next thing you know, you'll be seeing articles like "Sen. Clinton distraught over bombings" explaining that her "abiding concern" for "the victims" has left her unable to put on a smiling, face for public consumption. "She's just such a caring person that this event has scarred her deeply," said a paid shill. "I think it's shameful that the Vast Right-WIng Conspiracy takes her somber mien as evidence of apathy or hostility. Truly, these are vicious people to attack such a heroine at a time like this."

You may want to order an extra box of airsick bags.
