"
To which Rumsfeld replied that we would not name it anything that might be offensive! " Are you referring to SECDEF Rumsfeld's press conference around noon EST today? I listened to it from beginning to end including the questions from the reporters and I don't remember him saying anything like that. Perhaps I overlooked it but I thought I was paying close attention at the time.

How about "Operation Pork Bath?" It's got potential!!!
To: Hillarys Gate Cult
Or how about...
"OPERATION THIS LITTLE PIGGY WENT TO MARKET, THIS LITTLE PIGGY STAYED HOME, THIS LITTLE PIGGY GOT WRAPPED AROUND A TERRORIST AND SENT TO MUSLIM HELL"
To: Jack Wilson
Middle-easterners are sensitive, touchy-feely types and need to be treated very delicately. Then we will call it "Infinite Justice."

I can see where the word "infinite" would be a problem to some of the countries who are cooperating in this effort.
It is the sort of thing that our enemies can use in their propaganda to undermine the countries that are supporting our effort. It will cause problems in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, etc. The radicals within those countries will use this misstep in their campaigns to overthrow the rulers in those countries.
The jokes about nuking Mecca, pork bombs, headdresses, etc. will offend our allies as well as our enemies. It will sow distrust and ill will among the Islamic countries who are cooperating with the U.S.. Ultimately, it is a great disservice to our military mission.
If this is the New Political Correctness - so be it. This is war.

Uh oh! Looks like the first sign of a politically correct war. It's time to call a spade a spade, and stop being so senitive.
To: Kevin Curry
It's akin to saying, "The Spanish Inquisition" in a Monty Python skit. I didn't expect that.

Nobody does.

Operation Infinite Justice Oh boy, William Kunstler must be working hard trying to dig his way out of his grave. What opportinities to be had! Will we have to settle for the second best? Paging Johnnie Cochran. Can you just imagine: "If the turban don't fit, don't convict!!!"
And so, they're offended, huh? Since it's the season of apologies (thank you Ann Coulter for not apologizing!) let me apologize in advance for my multicultural insensitivity: what do you expect of people who wear diapers on their heads?!
Still, maybe we can compromize. How about: Operation Let's Roll!
To: Pokey78
I prefer "Infinite Crusade".Make that "Infinite Crusade for Justice".

ROFLMAO - especially like Operation Permanent Midnight at the Oasis. The terrorists expected the frolicking virgins and instead they get Maria Muldaur....
Much more succinct than my suggestion, Operation Experience the Fires of Hell Then Gradually Cool to Room Temperature.
To: van_erwin
"Infinite" means originally "without limits" or "without boundaries." It needn't mean that we are promising the perfect justice which only God can give; but we are saying that we are not accepting arbitrary limits that would stop us short of our goal of doing justice.

My thoughts are that NPR will have to move farther to the right if they want to preserve their pathetic little jobs. They're so sponge-brained (marxism does that to people) they don't even know how to fake their patriotism. I actually enjoy their political missteps.
